ALMOST LIVE .... from the Quest January 8th

Starting the adventure TODAY!!! Less than 6 hours to flight time!

 

Thought I'd start the post now - since I am way too excited to sleep! ;)

 

I have been travelling the world for almost 40 years and it is MORE exciting today than it was when I was young. Does travel ever get boring? I hope not!!! It makes me feel so young!

 

I have been in training for this for almost a year......90 minutes per day....60 cardio - 30 weight training......I can now bench press 140!!!! Luggage is breeze.

 

Off for a manicure and threading....looking my best for the marathon 40 hour half navigation of the globe...

 

Today I am going to spend time in the United First Class Lounge in Dulles.....report soon!!! First class United Suite.....

 

Next report from IAD .... then FRA ..... a short 3 hour hike in Weisbaden and back to the Lufthansa First class lounge. Better check that I packed the Lederhosen!!!!

My mom is in her 70's and been traveling for over 60 years...she's just as excited about every trip she takes as she was 60 years ago....so rest assured it NEVER gets boring for a true traveller!!!!!!

Sitting here in the Delta Sky Club in MSP, boarding in about an hour for

12.5 hrs to Tokyo 2 hr layover then 5.5 hrs to Hong Kong.

We'll Join the ship in Hong Kong on Saturday.

It's possible that we won't see her online, but she has told our roll call (leaving Singapore Jan 22) that she plans on meeting any cruisers on the Jan 22 Quest cruise at the Long Bar at Raffles to fill us in on her cruise. You'd have to check our roll call for the exact date and time - think it's Jan 21 around 6:00 or so, but perhaps Jan 22.

I think she's on it for 3 more days (until Jan 22nd). Maybe there's a problem with the internet on board ... Schmidlapp (on the same cruise) mentioned above that he/she would be dropping in to post here, but also hasn't been heard from since Jan. 4th.

She has a nice family network and she's a savvy traveler...

Sorry - weather is great - the ship is perfect......food is really good......tours have been beyond amazing!!!

 

This is the best cruise I have ever been on.....leaving day after tomorrow. :(

 

I am so sorry but will post on my return.

 

Just having too much fun.....non stop laughing eating drinking touring....

 

ship staff and crew are perfection as always.

 

Will do all the details when I get home.
