Taxi cost today from Fort Lauderdale to Cruise Port

Just a quick question. what is the cost from Fort Lauderdale Airport to Port Everglade. Do they have a flat rate or are they on the meter.

The airport is about a 10 minute ride and the cost is about $15 plus tip for a cab full.

That's my experience too from the port to airport. From the airport to port it could be slightly more if there are several ships leaving at the same time. You can be stopped in traffic waiting to get into the port for some time, and the cabs are on meters, so tic...tic...tic... :) Probably be hard to go past $20 though.

Make sure they turn the meter on. I once got a driver that didn't, and charged me the same price a shuttle would have cost.

There are no flat rates in Ft Lauderdale.

 

Meter -- and a couple of the cab drivers will try to tell you that their meter is broken and then overcharge you.

It is metered and I've had it range from $12-18 depending on how busy the traffic was or which dock the ship was at.

Thank you so about 20 dollars for the three of us would be o.k. We may have to adjust the tips depending on the luggage. I will make certain that the meter is turn on.
