lyntony Posted January 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2011 We are booked on the Emerald Princess from Feb 6 to 26. Our friend was just told she has a matter of months to live, and one of the things on her "Bucket List" was to cruise with us. The Travel Agent (and Princess directly) have indicated that this cruise is sold out, and I wonder if anyone has ever had luck in getting to the front of the wait-list line. Thank you Lyntony

Thank you Lyntony Sorry to hear about your friend, but I have never heard of moving to the front of the list, even if there is a serious medical condition involved. I doubt calling will do any good, but you could try. Good Luck!
zacc Posted January 29, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2011 If your cabin will accommodate a 3rd/4th passenger maybe you could consider adding your friend to your cabin? May not be the way you wanted to cruise but what a great why to share your friendship!

I doubt calling will do any good, but you could try. Good Luck!I agree. Perhaps your TA can find a category that isn't waitlisted. Often, some but not all categories are waitlisted. I wish your friend, and you, good luck and I hope it works out for you.
Rare Essiesmom Posted January 29, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2011 The cruise is also sold as two ten day cruises, but all categories on all three options are waitlisted. EM
sirwired Posted January 30, 2011 #6 Share Posted January 30, 2011 I would definitely call Princess; while they obviously can't pull a cabin out of thin air, I think if you offer up medical documentation, they might see what they could do to shift your friend up on the waitlist.
