New HAL Photo Contest........

I was just looking through the new Mariners Magazine which we (happily) received today and there is a card insert describing a new photo contest. It is "The Best Dam Ship Photo Contest". I won't print all the terms but if you have a great photo of an HAL ship you may want to think about entering.

 

Some of the (maybe professional ?) photos I've seen of ships in gorgeous scenery have been amazing. I imagine lots of HAL cruisers have some wonderful photos.

I finally had a chance to read the Mariners Magazine and enjoyed it. Nice issue IMO

i don't have any great pictures of hal ships in (digital format, anyway) but i am ranked #72 on all of webshots this week. 248,000 views of my albums. that's good enough for me.

I actually read through my Mom's copy of it just yesterday. I can post the winner announement date when I get home tonight. I think it was later in June, but I could be wrong. I just completed my first HAL cruise, and was curious how long you had to get entries in.

Canada, although large geographically, has a population not much greater than that of the State of California. It's a small market.

 

The largest market undoubtedly, within a decade, could be Asia. At that point perhaps, all folks in North America will no longer receive the magazine.

 

On our last cruise in May aboard the Maasdam, there was only a handful of Canadians, in spite of the fact that the majority of Canadians could get to/from the Port of Montreal quite conveniently without having to go through any airport.

 

Is it not possible to request that HAL send you the magazine electronically ?

We weren't getting Mariners magazine either (were 2 star) until I emailed HAL and we promptly received the current edition and have received them ever since.

Anyone know who won this...what the picture was? On the website link it still says that the winner will be announced on June 13th!
