Elation Help Please....

A few questions I hope someone can answer....:o

 

How is weather in late March??? Leaving out of Mobile

 

Our room is in the bottom of the ship, two bunk beds.... are these SUPER small or the same as the other rooms with two beds put together?

 

Is there a secret door???

 

Is the Deli just like the one on the Fantasy?

 

Is the food just as good as on the Fantasy? I thought it was delish!!

 

Is going in March going to be nothing but spring breakers??

 

Is there free drinks at the farewell party or just the past guest party?

 

I'm just hoping to get a idea of some previous experiences, I know you all are not psychic!!:p:p I think this will hold me over till I get there!!!!

So I am guessing you are in a 1A. Most are 160 sq. feet, I think. A reg. interior cabin is 185 sq feet. Some people say they feel larger because there is only one bed on the floor.

Is there a secret door???

 

I know there is one, but I can't remember how to get to it.

 

Is the Deli just like the one on the Fantasy?

 

yes

Is the food just as good as on the Fantasy? I thought it was delish!!

 

No one can really answer this question. The way the food tastes is going to vary week by week depending on many variables. Quality of the food that week, how it is prepared, who made it, etc.

 

Is going in March going to be nothing but spring breakers??

 

No, it should't be.

Is there free drinks at the farewell party or just the past guest party?

 

There will be free drinks at the farewell party. How many days is your cruise. There is only a past guest party on cruises five days and longer.

we took that EXACT cruise last year.. was a little chilly in Mobile but once you got to open water it was great and Cozumel was perfect

Yes they were very good too :)

it was ok.. Personally I liked the desert day on the fantasy better.. they had the two desert tables one each side of the room. this one has one long in the front.

The Dining rooms were great.. about the same as the fantasy

OHHHHHH YEA... OMG yea.... drinking from wake up to going to bed.. If I saw one more Banana hammock.. But they controlled it well. and it never became a big issue

Yes at both or at least it was on my cruise

all in all its a great ship with a great crew. I just wish some of the people were still there from my last one.. There was a bartender named Alex who was great. and Paulie was the best server I ever had on a cruise

I got off yesterday. I got two great margaritas at the bar, they werent serving them as a drink on the tray (again). My friend got 3 martinis, that were pure booze and her husband got burbon and coke I think. This was at the farewell party.

 

It has the Mongolian BBQ by the aft of the pool which is a favorite. Right in the middle next to it on Ecstasy is rotissie chicken, but this on Elation didnt say so, but they did have the rotissie chicken that I love, plus another meat. They didnt have the corn cobs and such like the one on Ecstasy.

 

Chocolate buffet was the last seaday at lunch.

 

We had a mexican midnight buffet, but they started to serve before midnight I noticed. I didnt feel like waiting in line and had pizza :D

Your weather should be good. We left out in November and while it was nice, it was a bit cool.

Pretty small rooms, I think.

If you are referring to the door that gets you to the front of the ship on the Verandah deck, then yes there is a door. OR you can access it via the stairs from the Lido deck.

 

Is the Deli just like the one on the Fantasy?

 

Yes and No. There is a deli, but its not in the same exact place. You will see it though, towards the back of the buffet (its right behind the desserts if I remember correctly).

We are around the Hannibal area, if you have heard of that, its about 2 hours north of st louis, we drive down the nite before and stay at Saraland in the Microtel hotel.

You know what, I didnt. And my cabin was on Upper, so going up to the casino or the theater or to check the menu, I walked thru the atrium area lots of times. Iv seen them on other cruises, but not on this one.
