Just curious how many cruises do you have with Royal?

We were in CL #1708 at the beginning of March. The room was amazing. The first time walking in I was in awe. I could not believe that this was a room on a ship! The views are amazing, and it is so quiet up there.

 

Just a word of caution. Our neighbors were upgraded, and they were having problems with their new Seapass cards. Before you get to the rooms, you have to use your Seapass cards to unlock a door that leads to the rooms (it keeps the people who are in the Viking Crown Lounge from roaming the halls). They had problems at this door. A new card fixed that though.

We had a hump D1 and were upgraded to a JS hump last month, there were a few of us that got one. Good luck on the upgrade; we're are D also, first upgrade. Kathy

I honestly do not expect a call since we are only booked on our second cruise but my question is if you do not have the upgrade box checked in your my cruises profile that is when they make the call correct. Otherwise they just automatically make the upgrade? My other question is we are in a D1 aft. Is there any scenario in which an upgrade wouldn't be preferable to where we are now. Again I know I'm asking about an improbability, just trying to get an education for the future. Hopefully booking another cruise before Alaska rolls around.

I hope she (?) doesn't move to another ship too soon! We are on the Oasis on 8/6/11 and would love to have a visit form the upgrade fairy. A CL would be just too much to ask --- but would be accepted....

I'm sailing on Monarch 5/2 and this will be my 21st cruise on RCCL. I have never had an upgrade, nor dinner with a Captain! Hoping my day will come... soon would be nice!

Do you have to book directly with RCCL to get a chance for an upgrade, or is using a TA or booking online with a cruise site still okay? I wonder if they only upgrade frequent cruisers? My next cruise (on Oasis) will only be my second with RCL...
