Cheryl I would'nt recommend cutting back to less than 20 points. I believe you may be in the same bracket as me 24 points per day...They (WW) recommends never going lower than 20. If it were me I would make sure I just stick to the 24 points and nothing extra....

Andrea-

We are going Feb. 26th on Star Princess to Princess Cays, Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios. I was thrilled when I got in the 180's! I started at 225. Oh my... I said it! I've only told one other person how much I started at! I will not tell my husband until "after" I lose more. I am so looking forward to when I reach 170. I have a whole set of clothes in that size waiting for me. Then my goal is to get to 135ish hopefully. I had been at about 145 six years ago and felt great! But had hoped to go a little lower. I haven't reached my 10% at WW yet. So I haven't set my goal wieght w/my leader. I'm hoping she'll let me squeak in a goal of 140.

Cheryl-

Re: bigger meals... that's what your flex points are for. Use them on the days you need them, but like Kitty said, don't go below your 24 points for each day.

Still not sure what I'm making for supper. Better go see what I can make with chicken breasts. I always have boneless chicken breasts on hand.

I'd love a ww friendly lasagna too!. Has anyone had the Raisin Bread French Toast from the "Dining for Two" cookbook? They are absolutely fabulous. I'm at work and don't have the recipe with me, but I think it was 6 points but was completely full after I had one. In addition, I actually made a few adjustments and got it down to about 3-4 points. It calls for regular thick sliced raisin bread. Our Stop n Shop has a low fat Raisin bread that is only one point per slice. I replaced the regular bread and it was just as good. Then it also calls for an egg, so I used an egg-beater instead. Also just cooked in PAM instead of the oil. It was really such a treat. I'll get the recipe on here if anyone is interested.

My favorite thing to do is to find really really good foods that are both filling and satisfying yet stay below the points radar. The lower the better!!! :D

I had a great recipe for eggplant lasagne that uses eggplant instead of noodles. It was more of a South Beach recipe. I bet one of my WW cookbooks has a lasagne recipe in it. I'll check and post one later this evening if I find one.

Back on track today after having a little problem yesterday! I did write every thing down that I ate though and it really helps keep things in perspective and see why I was eating. I guess it was mostly out of boredom. I ended up going outside later in the day and transplanting some flowers and doing some gardening. I should have done that earlier in the day when I was eating those tortilla chips and cheese! :D Oh well... Today is a new day and I'm feeling good!

Have a wonderful day everyone! Drink your water and TRACK! It works!

Good Morning;

Yesterday was the first day that I actually stayed on program for the whole day. Not one little cheat and it felt good. I am going to try for another day today with no cheats. I did have oatmeal for breakfast this morning with real brown sugar on it, but I measured out 2 tbsps and will count it as 2 points. I think I read somewhere that one tbsp of sugar is 1 point??

Jean - My DH and I went to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ochos Rios in February for our honeymoon. It was wonderful. We went with Carnival and had a fantastic time. We LOVED Grand Cayman. The water was fantastic and clear for Stingray City and snorkeling.

My DH and I just got married in October, actually 7 months ago today. I look back at the wedding pictures and I am pleased with them and I didn't actually look that bad. I weighed 170 at the time of the wedding. I find myself wondering how on earth I have gained 20 pounds since the wedding (but I have lot 7 of that so far). I know everyone says that after you get married you tend to let yourself go, but 20 pounds in 7 months!!! I guess I was really enjoying my newlywed phase, but now it is down to business.

Hope everyone has a great WOE day.

Andrea - I just got married in Oct also. :p I look at my wedding pictures and ask myself "was I really THAT big?" That's what made me decide to change. I weighed 200 lbs at my wedding and am now down to 170. The goal is to be down to 130ish by Oct this year for our second honeymoon cruise! It's hard and lately I haven't been staying on track that well. I blame my friend. She is on the LA program with me, but she is a bad influence! She always wants Taco Bueno and french fries etc... Yesterday, we had french fries and Starbucks! I think I need a new friend!:D Most of the time I can resist, but temtation gives in when she starts in on me! Well, I have a weighin in about an hour. I will post my results then. I haven't weighed since last Friday, maybe the extra day will give me a little boost.:o Talk to ya'll in a few!

Andrea: I have discovered Splendra-- at zero points-- tastes the same as sugar with no after tastes like the pink or blue stuff. But spledra is VERY VERY sweet. I got Special K with that in there...and yuck--that stuff is way too sweet. Also tried the Spelndra oatmeal--again yuck-- its too swqeet for me.

My biggest challenge to date is coffee. I went from 5 cups a day down to 2 cups. I no longer use 2 tablespoons of sugar but 1 pack of splendra..and actually measure out 2 tablespoons of fat free half & Half. I got my coffees down from 5-6 points each--down to 2 points each.

Hi Ladies,

Sounds like everyone is on track..

Jean,we all have off track days but you accounted for the points you used and moved on,that is what makes a difference in this plan.

Sara, sounds like your friend is sabotaging your weight loss even though she is on LA with you. She must not have the same commitment as you, when she suggest things that are not plan friendly you should suggest something else that is. It will help both of you in the long run.

Andrea,it does feel good to stay on program and the results speak for themselves.

Hope everyone else is doing well..

Had my weighin this morning. Didn't lose or gain. :( I printed off the nutrition info for my coffee at starbucks and took it into the office today to see if I can have it or not. They said WOAH! You can't have this at all!! Again :( , sad. I guess I will be cutting out all my coffee now. That really sucks, but maybe I will start losing again. Well, have a good day everyone. I am off to work now.

Ahhh, I was just railroaded off my diet by a chocolate donut!! The "skinny girl" in the office asked if I wanted her donut and before my brain even caught up to my mouth I heard myself saying sure. Then before I even took a breath I scarfed down the whole donut. Now that it is gone, I feel bad for eatting it, but boy, was it good!! I guess you guys don't really have Tim Horton's in the states, let's hope you never go there because everything there is sinfully delicious. I guess I could count the donut as 6 points towards my weekly FP of 35. Good thing I weigh in on Thursday so I can start over with my 35 points.

Lisa: congrats on that loss.

andrea- a plain donut at Krispy Kreames is 7 points. I avodi that place at all cost coz I know I could eat at least 6 of those and still want more.

But now you cheater--get back on the wagon and drink an extra glass of water.

Serene56 - At least I don't have to worry about a Krispy Kreme in our city. One franchise opened up a year ago and they just closed a the beginning of May because they were bankrupt. I guess we are just too loyal to Tim Hortons and the competition put them under. At any rate, I am just glad they are gone, although I have to admit I never did go to the store, maybe nobody else did either and that is why they are gone!

Andrea,I believe there are Tim Hortons in Conneticut on the way to Foxwoods casino. The good thing is you counted it and moved on...

Lisa,congrats on the loss..

Sara, the good things about WW is you can have ANYTHING you want as long as you count the points...Can you really go without coffee forever?

kitkat - I don't really like coffee, I just like the "coffee" drinks at starbucks. You know all the frilly things that have way to many calories and sugar. I'm sure I can do without it for the time being. Once I lose all the weight that I want and get into the maintenance phase of my plan then I'm sure I'll be able to have it once in a while.

Oh yeah, went to walmart this morning and found some cute workout shorts in the juniors section. So, I tried some on and guess what! They Fit!!!:D Of course they were an XL but hey, they were still juniors! Hehehe! I'm so excited. I can't wait for tomorrow so I can wear them to go walking. Hope everyone had a good day.

Sara, good job at the loss and how good does that feel to buy something in a smaller size. My goal is to not have to shop in the plus size section. I cannot wait for that day to come....

Hope everyone is doing well whatever program they are following.

Good job Sara! Was that the gormet coffees you are talking about? I still have my 2 cups in the morning, but I've left out the creamer now and am just using sweetener and a teaspoon of the powdered fat free flavored sweetener. Took a few days to adjust, but it's fine now. I used to use those International Coffees flavored creamers that are loaded w/extra calories and fat... but they are ohhhh soooo yummy! :)

the last couple days have been a struggle for me for some reason. I'm not quite sure why? I didn't even track yesterday and I'm SO FOR tracking as it WORKS! Well today I'm starting off great and wrote everything down. I'm planning not to use any extra flexpoints for the next couple days. I probably used them all up anyhow!

time to go to work... I'll be off the rest of the weekend after today so I'll be able to catch up more on the posts. Seems I've been so busy lately

Glad to hear everyone is losing or maintaining. First official week of WW and I am down 1 pound.

My biggest challenge is going to be the long weekend coming up. Normally 2 day weekends are hard and now I am going to have 3 whole days at home. We are having a bbq tonight so I am trying to plan ahead and bought myself a whole wheat hamburger bun instead of eatting the white buns I also bought. Now I just have to stay away from the junk food and the salads with all the mayo on them. I am not sure our plans for the rest of the weekend hopefully not alot of eatting out or partying. (Well a little partying is okay!)

My DH came home last night from a trip and the first thing he did was take me to Swiss Chalet for dinner. I think I am starting to make smarter restaurant choices. I ordered the 1/4 chicken with white meat instead of the dark meat and didn't eat the white roll that came with it.

We have my step son for this weekend from tonight until Tuesday morning and he already said he wants me to make a loaf of white bread in the bread maker. That is sooooo dangerous for me. It is very tasty and I could eat the whole loaf myself. I am going to have to try and stay away from the fresh bread. I suggested making 60% whole wheat bread and that did not go over well with the others in the house.

Glad to hear everyone is doing so well

Andrea
