Crusing for very first time!!

Hi welcome to Cruise Critic.

 

It would be helpful if you could post the port that you are going to.

 

Also there is a port of call board on cruise critic so if this is in Florida you can post the question there but do include the port/city name.

Another option since you'll be driving a long distance and probably staying overnight near the port before you cruise is to find out if there are any hotels in the area with a "stay and cruise" package like a lot of airport hotels have "stay and fly" package.

 

I'm doing this in Charleston next month, and it means I can leave my car at the hotel and be taken by shuttle to the ship and picked up when I return without the hassle of parking at the port.
