BCN hotel, nice, < 200$, easy train to ARPT

Recommended Posts

I am looking for hotel recommendations:

We are train/subway takers. Travel light with just 1 small suitcase each.

We are flying in to BCN, staying just that night, and fly out the next day (11:00 am).

We would like to use public transport to and from airport/hotel, but dont need to stay right at the airport.

Is there an area that is quiet, safe, that I should be looking at on WEB sites that fit these parameters?

Thanks!

For me the airport express bus(Aerobus) is easier to take than the subway in Barcelona , even with only 1 small bag. It leaves directly from in front of the air terminal and makes only 3 stops IN the city so you could look at hotels near Placa Espanya, Placa Universitat, and the last stop near the most central square, Placa Catalunya.

You can see hotels in those areas by putting them into Google and using the search nearby function to see hotels.

It is too bad you won't have more time in the city as it is a wonderful place to visit.

Thanks for the great info on the bus. Just found it. Great stuff, looks perfect.

We will be able to enjoy the city! We are there for a week, and then head to Rome for 11 nights on the Equinox. We were in BCN on another cruise and loved it so much, we are making a week of it!

Thanks again

J

If you are still intrerested in the Metro, the Silken Gran Havana on Gran Vie is very close to the Metro. We stayed there last summer. It's a nice hotel with a pool on the roof and around your price range. It's a 10-minute walk to Casa Batllo and also to Place Catalunya.
