silkismom Posted May 2, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2011 I thought someone might know the answer to my questions. We're using AA frequent flyer miles to fly DEN to Provo. Turks & Caicos. We have a forced overnight in DFW, do we have to get our bags there & recheck in the morning? Also since international flts usually have 1 free bag, will that still apply since we have to overnight?? Thanks in advance.
6rugrats Posted May 2, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2011 IME, if you don't want your bag for the overnight, you can ask for it to be checked through. Flying from the west coast, we almost always have an overnight somewhere, when going to the Caribbean. If you are allowed one free bag on this ticket, the overnight should make no difference. Rare Keith1010 Posted May 2, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2011 The free bag rule will apply regardless of an overnight or not. My experience is the same as that of Grugrats in the situations where we had an overnight. Keith
