riffatsea Posted May 25, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2011 Hi, Have you tried using a hotel search engine like: http://www.venere.com It is mostly used in Europe so you might not be familiar with it but it is now owned by Expedia. You can put in your price range and the no. of people in the room and it will show you possibilities and there are also reviews to read. You can then either choose to book on the site or go to the hotel web site to book.
Maggie 3 Posted May 25, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 25, 2011 I booked The Barcelona Universal for 3 for our June trip. I called the hotel and talked to them myself to make sure I could get a room for 3.
wcook Posted May 25, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 25, 2011 We are booked at the Novotel Barcelona City. It gets good reviews from people needing rooms for 3-4. Not right in the main tourist area, but with good metro access just a couple stops away.
KirkNC Posted May 25, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 25, 2011 You are correct when it comes to a room for three, we went through that last year. We booked Hotel Inglaterra, it is right across from Hotel Jazz. It was quite nice, served our needs just fine. At the time, it was 20 or so euros less than Jazz. We had the same issue and were happy to find a quad at Hotel Regina right in Place Catalunya. Great location, great price, and great reviews on tripadvisor. MBnancy Posted May 26, 2011 #8 Share Posted May 26, 2011 I also had a hard time finding a room for 3 and two. Wanted one with a roof top swimming pool in August, for our 7 year old granddaughter, but couldn't easily find a hotel near the Plaza de Cataluna and La Rambla with one, and a triple, so dropped that idea. I really wanted Hotel Jazz for my husband and I. Ended up with Hotel Royal Ramblas, and I think we will be happy. We have a deluxe Rambla view and a triple room. I got a little better deal off venere.com than from the hotel site.
NH Cruiser Posted May 26, 2011 #9 Share Posted May 26, 2011 We're staying at Hotel Barcelona Catedral in August and booked a triple room. The hotel is in the Barri Gotic district and is about five minutes from Las Ramblas.
manateemike67 Posted May 28, 2011 #10 Share Posted May 28, 2011 We are in the Barcelona Holiday Inn Express as i type this, cost 24 Euro in a taxi from the airport. Just a few mins from Metro, supermarket for picnics, 10 Euro 24hr wifi. Thats all we have used so far !!

MBnancy Posted June 3, 2011 #12 Share Posted June 3, 2011 Thanks for the information, we booked at Royal Ramblas and Hotel Regina, which both had triples. We are staying at one before and one after the cruise.
PM Cruisers Posted June 4, 2011 #13 Share Posted June 4, 2011 I've booked a room for 3 at U232 for Sept. I haven't seen it listed here but did a bunch of research on trip-advisor. It gets great reviews.
mkam2821 Posted June 7, 2011 #14 Share Posted June 7, 2011 Check out the family rooms at Petit Palace Boqueria Gaudi. THe location is great, right off of Las Ramblas but without the noise. Free use of laptops and wi-fi too!
