tamigirl40 Posted May 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2011 I am pretty sure I want to book Carnival Freedom. Is it best to book directly with Carnival?
firefly333 Posted May 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2011 If you want to book ES to me its best to book direct. Some TAs will give you perks under the table. .. but then Iv read more than one thread where the TAs were not so co-operative when prices went down about submitting price drops which cut into their commission. elcuchio24 Posted May 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2011 We always book direct thru the CCL website.
zqvol Posted May 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2011 OP Be aware that you cannot get specific recommendations, all anyone can tell you under CC rules, is to book with the cruise line or to use a TA, that is about it.
tamigirl40 Posted May 28, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Thank you all, I think CCL is probably as good as any. I will book air on my own and come in a day early. CCL wanted a good bit more for the air then travel sites.
firefly333 Posted May 28, 2011 #6 Share Posted May 28, 2011 cruiseair also has drawbacks in that they seem to fly in you the last minute the day of the cruise or a red eye special and you dont find out your flights until the last minute. Better to book air on your own for sure.
smc0320 Posted May 28, 2011 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2011 definately cruise line direct....we have a great PVP who always takes care of us. he calls ME when there are price drops...i see no need for TA's...no need for land lines either but people still have them....
