Thanks for sharing this with us, and congratulations! I really enjoyed reading your blog entry. We did almost the same tour from the Sapphire in 2004. We were on the Sapphire's maiden stop at Tauranga, and first thing in the morning the hillside was crowded with people welcoming us into their port. It was a really memorable sight. There is something special about the people there. We also enjoyed the geothermal activity...reminded me quite a bit of Yellowstone but on a smaller scale.

Very cool!! I often wondered if those were real people or just made up - the pix in the Princess newletter are always so beautiful and people so physically fit (read: thin), well dressed and groomed...nice to actually 'meet' someone who wrote in. Congrats!
