DJCruiseguy Posted August 17, 2011 #76 Share Posted August 17, 2011 Thanks for posting, I think I just gained 10 pounds from reading them. We will be on Conquest on Aug 28-Sept 4 so hopefully the new ones will be out the whole cruise.
crusinpsychRN Posted August 17, 2011 #77 Share Posted August 17, 2011 The only problem cruising solo is there's no one to share food with! Asparagus vichyssoise and oysters rockefeller on day 5. I'd want 2 or's but would feel like a pig to get av also.

Brad1185 Posted August 18, 2011 #83 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Imagine how much they are going to have to spend on additional deep fat fryers on all their ships for all the new fried food items on the menu.
punkinlr Posted August 18, 2011 #84 Share Posted August 18, 2011 I keep hearing folks talking about no more shrimp coctail... am i missing something because on the second days' menu is: black tiger shrimp cocktail served with american cocktail sauce ?? What is it about this that isn't shrimp coctail? Of course, DH says I'm in la-la land most of the time, so ya'll have probably already talked about this ;-) happy cruising! Elmo31 Posted August 18, 2011 #85 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Shrimp cocktail used to be on the everyday menu and now its only served on one day. I dont see the fried mozzarella anymore, Im so very very very picky and that is one thing I looked forward to. I know thats sad but true.
Rare Lady Arwen Posted August 18, 2011 #86 Share Posted August 18, 2011 After perusing the new menus, we actually think that it's a refreshing change to the old ones. I see shrimp dishes offered on most nights, although not shrimp coctail. We can't wait to try the new additions on our Liberty cruise in April. bobmal99 Posted August 18, 2011 #87 Share Posted August 18, 2011 I am sure you can order your Caeser Salad, every night... I am also wondering about the caesar salad availability??? Can you still order every night in the MDR? That is one of our family favorites!

Cruise, J.D. Posted August 18, 2011 #91 Share Posted August 18, 2011 :confused::confused::confused::confused:Can someone PLEASE answer my question (above)??????? Will the 1st 5 menus shown be the 1st 5 menus used on a 5 day cruise? Or are they mixed up? From another thread: John H. Answered this for me on his FB page.. He said 1, 2, 3 and [6], [7] are the menu's on a 5 day cruise. I hope this helps. I can't vouch for its accuracy. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1466215
ccartman2 Posted August 18, 2011 #92 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Thanks for posting the Menus. I think it looks pretty good, though Day 1 is a bit lacking IMO. Still, I imagine I can find something yummie to eat off that menu too.
jack1945 Posted August 18, 2011 #93 Share Posted August 18, 2011 The new menus seem more expansive than the old. Some people are complaining about the comfort food section, (doesn't belong in MD). But in many households these days, there isn't any home cooked meals, not a problem I have. So to some people meat loaf may be a treat. I have 2 cruise this year. I will let you what my first hand impression is.
KnJTexas Posted August 18, 2011 #94 Share Posted August 18, 2011 As the server is really busy, here are the pdf files of the new menus for everyone to see. Bon appetite! i could enjoy all of it but the Frog legs thats just something that i do not like
KnJTexas Posted August 18, 2011 #95 Share Posted August 18, 2011 I can deal with this but the "Kiss on the lips" drink better not leave the ship !!
riffatsea Posted August 18, 2011 #96 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Lots of the fancier restaurants are now serving upscale versions of comfort food like mac and cheese(with lobster) or meatloaf with fresh mushrooms. I think that there are cycles with food and what was old becomes new again. I am not worried.

missa03319 Posted August 19, 2011 #99 Share Posted August 19, 2011 The menu doesn't look that bad. I seen a lot of negative comments about the new menu. I have never cruised before so maybe it used to be better. 15 more days and then i'll be on the Freedom YAY:D
alitennessee Posted August 19, 2011 #100 Share Posted August 19, 2011 Newbie here :o So, is the #8 everyday menu mean this is what you can order anytime in the MDR? I'm sure this has been answered before, so sorry. I leave on September 5 on the Elation and I wonder if the menu will be changed by then.
