Himself Posted September 25, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2011 Thanks for the update David. It is sad to see the Alaska season come to an end. I look forward to early May when the next Alaska season commences. I see the Zuiderdam has started to head South and you know she is heading toward the Panama Canal and will be arriving in Ft. Lauderdale in about three weeks to commence with another Sunfarer Season. Truely, the Summer's gone and soon the leaves will be falling! Rare kazu Posted September 25, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2011 Thanks for posting the locations David. Hard to believe that the Alaska season has ended but it does mean that our cruise is that much closer:):)

ger_77 Posted September 25, 2011 #8 Share Posted September 25, 2011 It looks like a dull, rainy day in Vancouver where HAL ships have taken over Canada Place port! I'm still positively green with envy because my friends are boarding the Westerdam for a 34 day French Polynesian cruise and I'm at home. Sigh. I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through them for the next while! Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)
Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted September 25, 2011 #9 Share Posted September 25, 2011 I understand that the seas were far too rough for the Zuiderdam to make it into Astoria today so they have just continued south heading to San Diego

I was there to watch all 5 ships sail under the Lions Gate Bridge. I too am envious as we also have friends onboard the Westerdam for the whole trip all the way back to San Diego. Sandi3667 Posted September 27, 2011 #17 Share Posted September 27, 2011 I understand that the seas were far too rough for the Zuiderdam to make it into Astoria today so they have just continued south heading to San Diego Found out today that my boss was in Astoria on Sunday, as part of a group that was supposed to tour her. They got to the pier, and no ship. She commented that she had been looking forward to seeing some of the suites on their tour. I offered her pictures of our obstructed ocean view cabin on her sister ship. She declined. :(
trophy_23 Posted September 27, 2011 #18 Share Posted September 27, 2011 Apparently the Westerdam didn't make it into Astoria yesterday either due to poor weather. Same for a few ships going to Victoria. It has not been very nice up here in Vancouver the last few days, very windy!
