cave tubing in Belize

Thinking of doing the Cave Tubing in Belize in a few weeks. I have heard that it takes an hour to go through the caves. I am claustrophobic so any information would really help.

My husband and I did cave tubing in Belize. You were in and out of caves. life jacket and hardhat with headlamp attached helped me not freak in the caves. Sometime the water ran fast sometimes the level was very low. As an almost non-swimmer and not the outdoors kind of gal, I made it through just fine.

We were interested in this excursion very much. We've watched the movie The Descent. I think after watching this movie about caves, we are just too chicken to do it. Good luck! I'm sure it will be fun.

We did it last month and my 3 year old did it with us. We had a blast.

DW and I went cave tubing last September and enjoyed the expierence very much. The day we went the water level was low and calm.

You are in and out of the caves, and they are so large inside I wouldn;t think someone who is claustrophobic would have an issue. We have done this twice and its fabulous! So many Caribbean excursions are the same old thing: snorkeling, laying on a beach, city tour, but this one is truly unique to Belize and is really worth it! The walk through the rain forest is also fascinating!
