brooms Posted November 2, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2011 Thinking of doing the Cave Tubing in Belize in a few weeks. I have heard that it takes an hour to go through the caves. I am claustrophobic so any information would really help.
CruiserBruce Posted November 2, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2011 You will probably want to do research on the Belize board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
bld16 Posted November 2, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2011 My husband and I did cave tubing in Belize. You were in and out of caves. life jacket and hardhat with headlamp attached helped me not freak in the caves. Sometime the water ran fast sometimes the level was very low. As an almost non-swimmer and not the outdoors kind of gal, I made it through just fine.
Love.II.Cruise Posted November 2, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2011 We were interested in this excursion very much. We've watched the movie The Descent. I think after watching this movie about caves, we are just too chicken to do it. Good luck! I'm sure it will be fun.

cruzeluver Posted November 2, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 2, 2011 You are in and out of the caves, and they are so large inside I wouldn;t think someone who is claustrophobic would have an issue. We have done this twice and its fabulous! So many Caribbean excursions are the same old thing: snorkeling, laying on a beach, city tour, but this one is truly unique to Belize and is really worth it! The walk through the rain forest is also fascinating!
