"Sierra Team" wake up call onboard this morning

Sitting at the Fort Lauderdale airport waiting for our flight. We just got off of the Miracle and at 5:30am we were awoken by a very loud in-cabin message that said "Sierra Team to cabin #6_ _ _". About 8 minutes later the same message blared again. Anyone know what that code means? Hope everyone is ok....

Very sad way to end a vacation. My brother's a Paramedic and whenever he'd get those early morning calls, it usually meant someone passed during the night and their spouse just woke up and realized what happened. Hopefully that wasn't the case on your ship...maybe it was something happy, like a baby being born!

Alpha Team - Fire Team/Fire

Sierra Team - Medical Emergency Team/Medical emergency

I think its too bad they announce the cabin-- people then go and look

I think though unless they could send the info out on pagers, it would slow down the response if no cabin # given.

Recently here someone told me Bright Star meant medical emergency. Just curious as to what is what.

I used to think Bright Star was fall/man overboard, but last week on Pride they used that call with a specific cabin number, so maybe they've changed it up a bit.

We had Brightstar over the Public Address. Our steward told us that it was indeed a medical emergency...we saw the ambulance at the dock that morning and heard later the person died.

Bravo Bravo is for a person overboard we were told.
