New Sapphire Princess Sanctuary and Sport Court

I know I read that Princess had added the Sanctuary and Sports Court a month or so ago to the Sapphire Princess while on one of it's coastal voyages, but I didn't see any photos. While researching something else, I noticed that Princess posted photos of the new Sanctuary and the Sports Court on their Flickr page. I especially like that they have lounge chairs near the Sports Court above Skywalkers. Might become my new favorite place! Here's the link:

Now I know what they were building on top of Skywalkers when we were on the Sapphire in October. We asked a crew member and we were told it was the new Sanctuary. I remember thinking that's a very strange place for the Sanctuary.

Thanks for the link to the pictures!

Hi

Does this mean the Lotus pool is now part of the Sanctuary package and is thus for paying customers only?

No... as on all the other Grand-class vessels, the Lotus Pool is still adults only and still free.

By the way, is there a cost to hang out in the Sanctuary?

It's $10 for each half day session & I've read it's $15/day if you book everyday of the cruise which on some popular itineraries requires going to the Sanctuary immediately upon boarding & hoping B2B passengers don't already have it reserved. That definitely wasn't necessary on our NE/Canada cruise when my wife enjoyed it a couple of times...one of the few there. She really enjoyed the lounger's chair pads which to her were were closer to mattresses than pads. :)
