Vanilla Posted November 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2011 Anyone know what brand of coffee Princess uses as the "fresh brewed" batch? RCCL has a Starbucks on some ships and Seattles Best for purchase in some cafes (as an example).
San Diego Ellie Posted November 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2011 I am not sure about the brand, but I AM sure that they have recently (within last year or so) changed brands for the worst, and I am talking about the brewed coffee that you get with the coffee card. It used to be quite good; now it is barely mediocre. At least that is my opinion.
Astro Flyer Posted November 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 26, 2011 When it comes to taste or many other things, it's subjective & that includes coffee. ;)
Loonbeam Posted November 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2011 Princess does not have a branded affiliation, it all depends who has the best price arrangements when they buy.

Vanilla Posted November 27, 2011 Author #10 Share Posted November 27, 2011 Not a fan of Starbucks - but wasn't a fan of the last Princess coffee I had either.
GweninTX Posted November 27, 2011 #11 Share Posted November 27, 2011 We were on the Coral this summer and enjoyed the freshly brewed coffee a lot - no brand was obvious in any of the places we got it. The syrup coffee is pretty awful and I definintely recommend the coffee card! If you buy it with a coupon from the coupon book you get on your bed the first day of the cruise you get a metal coffee mug free with it!

ACoupleAtSea Posted November 29, 2013 #17 Share Posted November 29, 2013 Why is it so difficult to get a good cup of coffee at sea? Even when one is willing to pay for it.

Did not remember it being that bad on previous cruises. I don't think I would get the coffee card the next time; not worth the 31.00.
