elbodans Posted December 7, 2011 #7 Share Posted December 7, 2011 another vote for 'i take food photos everywhere'. this includes IN MY OWN KITCHEN (and yes, my meals are often prettier and tastier than cruise food.) how else can you write a good review? right? i mean, a picture is worth a thousand words. though i'm not sure how many tastes it is worth. ;-)

GORDONCHICK Posted December 7, 2011 #13 Share Posted December 7, 2011 I carry a camera in my purse - everywhere. The food photos started on our 1st cruise and have continued on other vacations and anytime there's food. People ask me why I take so many of food, but they always get lots of "wow"s. lovevacadays Posted December 7, 2011 #14 Share Posted December 7, 2011 I never take pictures of food. However, I'm happy others do because I have looked at those threads to see what menu items look like. To each his own I guess!
kitsVA Posted December 7, 2011 #15 Share Posted December 7, 2011 I started enjoying taking pictures of food for over a year now and upload them to Yelp, Foursquare and sometimes to Facebook, and Google+ to tease my friends. Now, most of my friends started this. On my Thanksgiving Cruise on Allure of the seas I took quite a lot of pictures of food on the ship and at ports. I wish I did on my previous cruises as well. Cruisin' Chick Posted December 7, 2011 #17 Share Posted December 7, 2011 I think the first time I took food photos was on my last cruise. And that was because people seem to like them. I tried to always have my camera with me then, but didn't always remember to take it out.
Feelin' Nauti' Posted December 8, 2011 #18 Share Posted December 8, 2011 Just wondering if you only did this on your first cruise or do you still take photos? Oh yeah! Makes me drool everytime I look at them. :p
Love.II.Cruise Posted December 8, 2011 #19 Share Posted December 8, 2011 We have only just started taking food pictures (within the last couple years). Now several people will say the quality of food has decreased since the early-mid 90's on a cruises (maybe longer). It would be nice to compare pictures from then to now to see if presentation has changed. I don't have any pictures of food from the 90's.
Krazy Kruizers Posted December 8, 2011 #20 Share Posted December 8, 2011 I never took any pictures of food on our first cruise. In fact it wasn't until a couple of cruises ago (nlow over 110 cruises) that I actually took a couple of food pictures.

I'm at 16 and can't even imagine ever getting to 110. You must have some amazing stories to tell! Do you have a favorite cruise line or cruise destination?
