dmwnc1959 Posted December 24, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2011 You didn't mention the ship or itinerary, unless I missed something?
runner15km Posted December 24, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 24, 2011 Bring a good book and try to meet some fellow cruisers your age. I was on the Summit last year and there was very little to do on sea days.
Breakfree Posted December 24, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 24, 2011 Sorry that I don't have any dailies. However, when I traveled on the Constellation, there were daily activities like trivia, drink tastings, bridge/control room tours, movies, etc., that appealed to me (and I'm in my 30s). Some of the offerings had an added expense, some did not. Being the first to strike up a conversation with people of all ages will help you find the fun on the ship. librarylady19 Posted December 24, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2011 I have Eclipse dailies from Dec. 10th sailing. Email me and I'll send them to you. As you can read in my review, there are now plenty of activities for younger people, besides eating and drinking!
Gonzo70 Posted December 24, 2011 #7 Share Posted December 24, 2011 Plenty to do; my wife and I started sailing Celebrity when we were 37 & 32. The martini bar and molecular bar are lots of fun. There is a lawn area with organized sports activities such as bocce ball contests, golf putting contests, croquet, bags etc. You can also use these on your own during the daytime when there is not a contest. They do occasional pool games. There is the casino. A nice gym and a running track. Two to three trivia games per day. Wine tastings. Cocktail tastings. Movies (in a theater as well as on demand on your stateroom). Dance lessons. While there is not as much going on as on sister line RCI, my wife and I have always found plenty to do on X. The only negative activity wise is if you are a night owl; by midnight the ships dies down considerably, but the martini bar still has action late at night, and on some cruises the casino, the dance club and the bar at the lawn club have some nightlife. jackdiamond Posted December 24, 2011 #8 Share Posted December 24, 2011 Since you are a young fellow, I assume that you take good care of your health. In this regard, the Solarium is a great place for vigorous pool walking and the performance of significant ancillary exercises while pursuing the pool walking. Additionally, if you have access to the Persian Gardens you might wish to visit the steam room which will melt off a few ounces and help your sinuses. After spending between 1 1/2 to 2 hours in the above venues, you may wish to enjoy a delicious and healthy lunch at the Aqua Spa Cafe, which is next to the Solarium. chuckwagon52 Posted December 24, 2011 #9 Share Posted December 24, 2011 and if you are a good boy mommy and daddy will let you have some ice cream. Have a good trip.
Rare Lois R Posted December 24, 2011 #10 Share Posted December 24, 2011 Or you might just find a lounger and have a drink, nap, and if you are a reader? Bring a book, read, drink, nap and repeat;) Yes, they have trivia since you mentioned enjoying that as well. They also have culinary demonstrations which are alot of fun too. Yes, the Aqua Spa Cafe has some good food but they also have really good French Fries at the pool too:)...depends on what you like to eat! I guess what is fun and interesting to some folks is boring to others. You will receive a "Celebrity Today" each day in your cabin and it will have a list of all the activities on board. Hopefully you will enjoy yourself:)

royalcruz Posted December 26, 2011 #13 Share Posted December 26, 2011 There was pool volleyball on Solstice 2 weeks ago on sea days. Since you are going on Celebrity for the food, be sure to try the specialty dining. There is usually a comedian for the best entertainment. BenTheMan Posted January 2, 2012 #14 Share Posted January 2, 2012 Going on our first cruise as our honeymoon, we (31 and 30 y/o) were also hoping that the activities do not only cater to an older audience. From what I am reading here, it sounds like we are going to find lots of things to do, although we only have 3 days at sea on our 14 night cruise. We also hope to meet more people in our age group on board.
Butterscotch 76 Posted January 3, 2012 #15 Share Posted January 3, 2012 I'm going on the Celebrity Millenium next month for my first cruise & was wondering the same thing. I am 35 and my bf is 30. I didn't want a party boat experience, but I would like to have options after midnight. I wish cruise lines still did the midnight buffet...not that I've ever been to one before. :)
