Noordam Verandah Room with an Upper Bed?

I am considering my next cruise to be on the Noordam. My family of 3 sailed the Nieuw Amsterdam and we had a verandah room with a pull-out sofa bed. We really didn't like the sofa bed as it blocked access to the balcony and made it very hard to get ready in front of the desk mirror. Does anyone know of any verandah rooms on the Noordam that have an upper bed/bunk bed? Also, we would like a room without a steel balcony. Thanks!

Never saw an upper bunk in a Verandah, only Ocean View cabins have that...I think.

The steel rails are on the front several verandahs on both sides of the Upper Promenade Deck catagories VH and VF. The others have the glass rails.

There are quad cabins with an upper on Verandah and Upper Verandah decks, not plentiful. Might have to book early to get one. EM

We had a quad: Only problem is the UPPER Bed coming out of/down from ceiling is RIGHT ABOVE the double bed!!

Be careful of your head!!! Check out the STICKY about staterooms -- you may find a picture of the upper bunk opened. I will look for one in my pix & try to post it here. I have been trying to upload another pix but it is not working!!

Wow, the bunk is pretty close to the bed under it. I wonder why they didn't put the bunk over the sofa or in the wall next to the double bed?

If you're using a bunk over the queen bed, ask the steward to make the queen bed up backwards, so your feet are under the bunk. Saves a lot of knockin' the noggin' that way.
