Grand Princess mini-suite guarantee

Trying to book for a June European cruise and my preference is for mini-suite midships, but my TA says none available in grades AA or AB. He suggests taking AC with guarantee.

 

Now my query is: What downside do I have with this? Could I get downgraded to AD or AE? What chance is there for upgrade midships if all AA and AB already booked (but not necessarily paid for)?

If you take an AC gty, that is what you will get, or one higher. You will never get a cabin of a lower grade than your gty. EM

Aside from preferred location, you will get AT LEAST a mini-suite...it may not be where you'd like it, but it will be a mini-suite! You could also get something better than the mini...but don't count on that! You WILL NOT get anything less than the mini-suite.
