or will she?

I upgraded to an Owners Suite from a JS for our Feb 4 Oasis Cruise!!!!

Now just hopeful that I'll survive when my angel finds out I spent the extra $$$ which won't even be until we board the ship.

Congrats:)... and condolences;) I had the same panic bout when I upgraded us to a suite for the first time (anniversary surprise). I thought she'd kill me when she found out about the extra $$. Unfortunately, she was so thrilled, now she only wants to cruise in suites:eek::)

Well come join our roll call and you'll have plenty of witnesses if she does try to kill you. :D

That was very sweet of you to surprise with her such a nice upgrade.

My wife would kill me, then enjoy every second in the OS, then kill me again after the cruise.

I did a surprise upgrade from a regular balcony to a GS for DH for our Anniversary on our second ever cruise. Our first cruise we were in an OV so it was a HUGE difference! I had to tell him though when we entered that it was actually a Suite and not a Balcoy as he'd never been in a regular balcony and thought thats what we had:p ... It was a FAB cruise!!!

I have printed off this conversation.

Its in the safe.

Should anything happen to you

You are covered.

Dont get lost in the Owners Suite as now you have LOTS of room.

Have fun hope to see you posting again on Feb 12th.

Keep us posted.....

Paul,

Tina would be very happy as the Owners suite would give her more than enough room for her shoes.

She would not hurt you.

But you may have to play a few extra hands in the casino to pay for it......

Curious...what was the price difference?

On Oasis and Allure it is so much that I can't bring myself to do it. It is double the price for my family of 5 to get an OS and D4 or all in OS, vs 2 D4s. ~16k vs ~8k. Maybe it's cheaper in the winter.

When I saw it had become available I did the math and expected to pay $3500 more than the JS. And, when I called she told me it would be at the posted rate I still figured it would be $3500, which I had already decided I was willing to pay.

When she quoted the difference of rate to me it was $2700. I asked her twice and yep, it was $800 less than I was expecting.

I'm wondering if the reason for the lower amount is that I now see the JS I had previously paid for is listed at $800 more than when I booked it. No matter though because I was thrilled that it was less than I thought it was going to be.

She may have made a mistake and quoted you the current difference, not what you originally paid. I would check your invoice to be sure, but I am guessing it will catch up with you at some point.

I'm pretty comfortable because the TOTAL fare she quoted me was actually $800 lower than what the fare was listed online. :)

Doesn't always help if their computer says you owe money.

It sure does....if you have a Royal invoice with all pricing and it is showing a $0 amount due total verse no invoice and there is ever a discrepancy....you have something to back up your claim.....no invoice and you have nothing.
