Shrimp is one of the easiest things in the world to cook....go to the store, pick up some RAW frozen shrimp (the "precooked frozen is awful!) and make a shrimp cocktail! Easy to thaw, fast to cook and delicious to eat!

I have a feeling it's a HUGE pile of shrimp on ice with a HUGE pile of lobster claws. That's what they had in the buffet on the first night on my last Princess cruise.

Why are we talking about what the OP had on a Princess Cruise..? Unless we are using the "Carnival owned cruiselines & subsidiaries" umbrella clause here, that is... :confused: personally, I'd rather see what awaits me on my Carnival cruise.. ;)

Bring some Old Bay to a boil with water and vinegar and steam those raw in the peel shrimp from our local meat counter...YUM!!

I've attached a photo that's probably similar to what the OP wanted to show. Unfortunately, Princess's ships don't always have this bountiful offering of seafood on the first night like they used to.

On my recent Victory cruise, shrimp cocktail with the big ones was only on elegant night but you could get shrimp in other ways - with the lobstertail and shrimp dinner, the deepfried crusted shrimp dinner one night, shrimp and seafood newburg, and a couple of other ways as well as the small ones in a shrimp cocktail sauce. So I really didn't miss the nightly shrimp cocktail. There were lots of nice appetizers.

You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. There's shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan-fried, deep-fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That's about it.

We had a gentleman at one of our dinner tables years ago who ordered three shrimp cocktails every night, they brought them out every night.
