poolboyclay Posted November 16, 2012 #301 Share Posted November 16, 2012 This question has probably been asked and answered many times but can not find it on here.If a certain liquor is included in the classic alcohol package (Tangueray/Beefeters Gin, Stolys vodka) how does the plan work if you want a Gin or vodka martini? Usually martinis run at least $10.00. Would that not be covered? I am figuring I will need the premium alcohol package but thought I would ask first. Thanks The premium package covers all drinks up to 12 dollars. Or at least it used to. I haven't checked recently.
Cruisecriticfan33 Posted November 23, 2012 #302 Share Posted November 23, 2012 Just noticed they have a sale right now, 10% off. Thanks for posting all of this helpful info, first time user cruising holiday cruise this year and we still can't make up our mind if we want just the classic non-alcohol or the premium alcohol package, seems like each of us would need to average 3-4 alcoholic drinks per day with the premium vs just the basic non-alcoholic. With only 1 day at sea it is hard to predict, and as others have posted we don't want to feel like we need to overindulge to make it worth it, but can see how it is nice not to have to worry  Quench Your Thirst with 10% Off Beverage Packages From Nov.12 through Nov. 25, get 10% off* almost every beverage package we offer if you book before you board the ship. With a wide variety of choices, you'll find one that suits your needs, quenches your thirst, and offers great value. *10% Savings Offer applies to regular price of classic non-alcoholic, premium non-alcoholic, classic, premium, soda and premium bottle water beverage packages on Celebrity cruises departing November 16-December 31, 2012 for which there is beverage package inventory available. Beverage packages must be booked November 12-25, 2012.
Foxy111 Posted November 23, 2012 #303 Share Posted November 23, 2012 I've read so many posts about this subject but I think I'm going round in circles looking for the answer and would really appreciate your advice. If you're in a suite and the butler were to get your beverages for you whilst in the cabin, would these be covered if you had the premium alcohol package assuming they're under $12, or any beverage package come to think of it, as long as you were within the T's & C's of the particular package? Or is it classed as room service and therefore not covered? This will be a one off special holiday to celebrate a special birthday and I'm really trying to get it right. Many thanks in advance :)
Rare cruisestitch Posted November 23, 2012 #304 Share Posted November 23, 2012 No they would not be covered. Packages do not include room service. Having the butler get it is room service.
NSWP Posted November 24, 2012 #305 Share Posted November 24, 2012 (edited) That is the mother of all drink lists Sara, now a lot of folk would owe you a drink after all that work compiling that! Well done. Edited November 24, 2012 by NSWP
ischeer Posted November 24, 2012 #306 Share Posted November 24, 2012 I know there has been much discussion on the alcohol and water packages, but very little (nothing ?) on the "Taste of the Vineyards" packages. Using sarafinadh's excellent OP, I came up with the following: For the "classic" package, the per bottle cost ranges between $36 and $38, depending on whether you choose 7, 5 or 3-bottle packages. Yet none of the bottles on the list is priced (individually) at more than $35 !! (There is one exception, a $45 bottle). The same for the "premium" package - per bottle cost $44-$50, nothing on the list marked more than $45 !! What gives here ?? Am I missing something ?? Terri Jones Posted November 24, 2012 #308 Share Posted November 24, 2012 Does anyone know the corkage fee if you bring your own bottles of wine on a Celebrity cruise? Can you bring wine into any of the restaurants?
Sejanus Posted November 25, 2012 #309 Share Posted November 25, 2012 Hi all Can i get a definitive reply on the tips. If i buy the premium package, am i charged the tipping fee on the price of that package or the cost my drinks would have cost. EG Package $750 + 15% Gratuity ($112.50) = $862.5 Package $750 + ($1100 in drinks * 15% ($165) ) =$915 In all honesty we are not huge drinkers but want 'no credit card surprises' on departure. ALSO - Does Celebrity localize their alcohol. We would really like the American choice of drinks but are doing a NZ/AU cruise. Will they stock with Aussie beers or US? Thanks Sej

ALSO - Does Celebrity localize their alcohol. We would really like the American choice of drinks but are doing a NZ/AU cruise. Will they stock with Aussie beers or US? Thanks Sej Sej When you buy the beverage package the 15% gratuity is factored into the price you see on screen when you purchase the package. There will be no additional charge unless you purchase a drink that is outside of the parameters of your drinks package such as a $20/glass wine or something like that. You would sign for the extra charge at the time. Last year the choice of beers and spirits was largely US centric with minimal AUS/NZ selections. This was cause for a lot of complaints from the passengers to the Cruise Director who was Australian and allegedly "should have known better". While of course the selections behind the bar could never be the Cruise Directors responsibility he did mention that the feedback had been passed through to management. While I doubt Celebrity management will do anything about it this year (ie there will be no Bundaberg Rum or Wild Turkey on board) there will still be full bars of interesting international beverages to taste and enjoy. :D Edited November 25, 2012 by JacintaH fix grammar as best I can. AZUDO Posted December 15, 2012 #311 Share Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) Just back from Constellation, my husband and I both had the Premium Package. We each had a specialty coffee or two every morning. I loved the skinny cappuccino latte. A few days I went to the buffet to get the delicious freshly squeezed orange juice and I always had a caffeine free diet coke or two midday and a few bottles of water throughout the day. We really did not drink alcohol during the day except maybe a glass of wine. Before dinner, we enjoyed the martini bar and I would have a martini every night. (These cost $12 without plan). We had a few glasses of wine with dinner, mineral water and an occasional cappuccino after dinner. At the specialty restaurants a few nights, we had an after dinner drink. I loved the fact that all beverages were paid for before we boarded. We bought it when on special and got 10% off. I think it was well worth it and would definitely do it again. Kathy Hi Kathy, Now I'm excited do they caffine free diet coke? Cheers Dorinda Edited December 15, 2012 by AZUDO another ship
Aussieflyer Posted December 15, 2012 #312 Share Posted December 15, 2012 I am not sure if this is fleet wide or just the lucky people sailing on Solstice in Australia and NZ but coffee in Cafe Bacio (cappuccino etc) is now $5.25 including gratuity - certainly much more expensive that other ships :(

Hi Everyone, So there you have it, the 2012 Celebrity Wine List for the Main Dining Rooms. Now as I understand it, this is the FULL LIST for the MDRs FLEET WIDE … but is not necessarily so that ALL wines will be available in ALL Venues… or in some cases there will be only a limited amount of bottles of some selections. Specific Wine Lists for each of Celebrity’s Ships in the fleet will have the current availability… if one is seeking a specific wine, then you should consult one of the MDR’s Sommeliers. I would like to once again thank the wonderful crew on the Celebrity Solstice who got this info to me… Igor – the Maitre D’ of the Grand Epernay Dining Room Amir – the Head Sommelier Hi Sarah. i hope you get a chance to TRY THEM ALL. THATS THE IRISH WAY TO DO IT. Jackdec [FAT IRISHMAN]

B1G Posted January 2, 2013 #316 Share Posted January 2, 2013 Well cool, I'm glad having it in one place is helpful, but please can anyone say if I have described the policy correctly? The other thing that is pretty helpful and cool in deciding this stuff is the excel spreadsheet that calculates your projected usage and tells you how much you might spend based on how you fill out the form. It's here; https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtQ-heWqtag3dDB3dlRCdkk5MFJ6RFYycUM4T2Vocnc&hl=en#gid=0 To use it you need to download it and open SCREEN 1. ; -D In 14 days, can I go threw all the list
Ex-Airbalancer Posted January 2, 2013 #317 Share Posted January 2, 2013 I am not sure if this is fleet wide or just the lucky people sailing on Solstice in Australia and NZ but coffee in Cafe Bacio (cappuccino etc) is now $5.25 including gratuity - certainly much more expensive that other ships :( A cap is $4.50 +15%=$5.18 burn Sent from my iPhone

englishgal Posted January 2, 2013 #319 Share Posted January 2, 2013 WOW! You have been busy! lol Really gotta love it though! I will be trying my first Premium Package on the Silhouette in two months ( April 10th Sailing) and have been paying attention to posts and the website for listed "beverages". Took advantage of 10% discount offer a couple weeks ago too. Thanks for your compilation! Dennis Hi, when was the 10% offered? I have been looking for it for weeks now! bajacali Posted January 3, 2013 #320 Share Posted January 3, 2013 Does anyone have a list and prices for vodka. I reviewed the very extensive and helpful list but I did not see vodka and that is what my DH drinks. I am just wondering what would be included in the $8.00 cap. haycede Posted January 3, 2013 #321 Share Posted January 3, 2013 Hi, when was the 10% offered? I have been looking for it for weeks now! The date on the original post is Feb 2012, so I think this was a cruise in 2012. I have been watching for a sale for 2013 sailings and haven't seen one yet. jfried1956 Posted January 8, 2013 #322 Share Posted January 8, 2013 I know it says that they have Vitamin Water on board. Does anyone know if this includes Vitamin Water Zero (the sugar free kind)? I drink lots of it and it would make the beverage package worth it for me. Thanks- Joan
