Isnt cable beach public? Seems like you could just take your sandwich or snack and eat on the beach.

Most of cable beach is under construction. The better beaches are those that are in front of hotels and have amenities, restrooms and lifeguards... these... you can't enter without a day pass.

Wyndham is closed, not sure if it's reopening.. so Sheraton would be the one.

$25 pp/ 1/2 price for kids. 3 pools, great beach, beach toys and lifeguards.

This will be my dd's 1st cruise. I have been to both Nassau and Freeport. My question is in Nassau will the kids be accepted at either the Sheraton or Wyndham and which would be better? I want to do the day pass but am unsure which one to do.

Thanks so much!

Wyndham is closed - not sure if it's reopening. It's a construction zone.

.. was at the Sheraton this past May -- get a day room, if your family is larger, I had a family room for 5 people, was $99.00 for the day.

Sheraton was okay -- food was horrible!!! Expensive and gross and was grossly infested with Flies all over. I think the food cost us more than the room... if I remember correctly!

You have to pay for the huge slide on the beach, don't think it's part of the resort.

The water slide in the water was free... So where the bikes w/ the huge wheels :)

Hilton is $50 in advance/ $55 at the front desk . This includes a $30 voucher for food and/or drinks from the patio grill .. You can book thru island marketing. The property is small, quiet and relaxing. It's a business hotel, so there's not much going on and few kids. Perfect for sunning, reading or relaxing in a hammock.

Thre's cabanas, day beds and covered chaise.. along with umbrellas, palapas etc.

Where can I find the contact information for Island Marketing? Thank you..:)

They have started the new casino.. they had a little celebration last week (i think it was the 100 feet high mark). It's still a long way off.

We were just told that the Wyndham hotle and Crystal Palace Casino will be closing the 1st week of September, for 6 weeks. Severance packages are being given out.. so we're not sure it will be reopening.

Sheraton will have to maintain a hold on the cable beach hotel scene for awhile.

Hi Scuba Girl- I am reading all the posts. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for a group of 23 arriving in port on December 24th. I see that it can be chilly there? What would be the best time of excursion and do they have anything special going on then. We will be in port from 7- 2? Any tips would be appreciated! Thank you!

Going to be in Nassau the week of 4/14. Does the Sheraton or Wyndham (or any other resort for that matter) have any live Island music?

Although I'm going next month and will be in Nassau on a Wednesday, does any day pass hotel have live island (or other) music poolside or otherwise?
