On my very first cruise on the Norway, Shirley Jones & her family were on the cruise. I didn't meet her but I did see Sean Cassidy out by the pool & said Hi to him.

The only sort of famous person I've encountered was on a Princess cruise to Alaska in '04. Amy Tan, the author of The Joy Luck Club, was on board and up with the naturalist while we were glacier cruising. Over the microphone he asked her how she would describe the gorgeous blue of the iceburgs...I'm sure he was assuming as an author she would be beautifully descriptive...this is what she had to say,

 

"They look Windex blue"

Shirley Jones performed on stage one night. Might have been on the Norway but I am not sure.

 

I also saw Bowzer from the former Sha Na NA tv show. He had a great show then the following morning he had an autograph signing in one of the bars. He brought a pile of 8X10 photos of himself and signed them and posed for pics with us. He was a great sport.

We had Vicki Gunvelson and her kids from Real Housewives of Orange County on our Grandeur cruise in Oct. 10.... I know she's not really a celebrity, but she was very nice and normal, and noting like the crazy woman on the show...

We had Vicki Gunvelson and her kids from Real Housewives of Orange County on our Grandeur cruise in Oct. 10.... I know she's not really a celebrity, but she was very nice and normal, and noting like the crazy woman on the show...

 

I was on this cruise as well. Vicki and her kids were very nice!

Jessica Biel on the Explorer a few years back, and a few members of Aerosmith on the Nordic Prince in the 80s.

We met Mark Walburg and his family on the Voyager out of Galveston (hope I spelled that correctly) he does "Antique Roadshow" now, he did "shop till you drop" yrs. ago, and one game show at night about Truth??? Super nice guy, we kept running into him and he always said "Hey???" google him and you'll know who he is.

Connie Francis performed on the Celebrity Horizon and they had a special event where you could meet her and the ships photographer took a picture.

 

Brooke Burke was on the NCL Dawn filming some travel show that she used to host......her crew was really annoying. Not the filming but their behavior in the casino and other areas!

and most recently over New years met Colm Feore in the CL...again on Oasis.

I saw LL Cool J (some would remember him as a rapper, others from TV and Grammy hosting fame) in ALaska with his entire family. Took photos and chatted with many fans. Nice guy!

Hey, the Housewives are big reality stars. Reality is a huge TV niche. Glad to hear Vicki and the kids were nice. Was Don there? She ditched him recently for a new guy. We saw Kirk Douglas in Skagway Alaska, he was on Crystal, had his own limo. We had a tour guide in Ketchikan who had just done a private tour for Bill Gates and his celebrity guests, Bill's 40th anniversary cruise on Paul Allen's yacht.

The FOS cruise we were on last Nov had several team members from Cincinnati Reds Baseball team...I wouldn't know them if they fell in my lap on my pool chair! haha...I could have been standing in the elevator with half the team and never have known it!;)

Don was not there. Shortly after the cruise it hit the news that she was leaving him. I actually did not know who she was but my girlfriend is a big fan. She was with her Brother, sister, son and daughter.
