hrcs23a Posted June 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2012 In considering booking a balcony cabin on Summit, does anyone recall which side of the ship faced the town? Left side or right side? This might sway my decision on booking a particular cabin as we'll be docked there a few days.
runner15km Posted June 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2012 You never know, sea conditions, ship maintenance, life boat drills, etc. all have influence on whether the ship is moored on port or starboard side. Last August we were moored on the starboard side.
Karen@Steve Posted June 20, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2012 3 weeks ago we were moored on the Port side, the week I heard on the Starboard.
Rare Turtles06 Posted June 20, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2012 You never know, sea conditions, ship maintenance, life boat drills, etc. all have influence on whether the ship is moored on port or starboard side. Last August we were moored on the starboard side. Exactly so. Just pick the cabin you want; you can't predict the direction in which the ship will be docked. Fblack Posted June 20, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2012 I would not call Kings Wharf much of a town. Not much to see and due. It does have a bus and water feerry service right near the ship. We went out after dinner to "explore" and were back in under an hour.
Rare Essiesmom Posted June 20, 2012 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2012 Other than watching for pier runners, you have just as good a view on the harbor side. EM

runner15km Posted June 20, 2012 #9 Share Posted June 20, 2012 There is plenty to do within walking distance of the pier. http://www.experiencebermuda.com/dockyard/
