Best place to get free coffee in the morning on the Oasis?

Recommended Posts

This is our first Royal Caribbean cruise and we will be on the Oasis 7/28. Where is the best place for free coffee in the morning? Our cabin is on deck 9 if there is something easy to get to.

Does RCI have coffee cards that you pre-purchase for specialty coffees? Or do you pay as you buy?

Thanks!:)

The Cafe Promenade on deck 5 has free coffee 24 hours.

The Windjammer also has free coffee but they open around 7am.

Or, room service, but prior to 5am, there is a service charge for delivery (free after 5am).

Specialty coffee is pay-as-you-go. No coffee cards.

As mentioned, Deck 5 Cafe Promenade is open just about 24/7 and is free. WJ opens at 7:00 AM

Also, Central Park Deck 8 has a Cafe that you can get coffee, breakfast sandwiches, cereal milk, pastries ..... I think that opens at 8:00. You will find this convenient to your deck, also, it is out of the way, so always less crowded.

Another place would be the Solarium on Deck 15, very front of the ship, which also serves breakfast.

Yep, it is a big ship with lots of alternatives. We just got back and absolutely loved it.

I do not know much about specialty coffees, but anything that costs money will go on your seapass.

Have fun.

Thanks! Is the food in the Cafe in Central Park free? That sounds like a great place to pick up something quick in the mornings.

Yes, most everything in Park Cafe is included, and very good.

There is one counter that sells speciality coffees and a few other things that you need to pay for.

I always enjoyed heading out to the donut shop in the boardwalk area for a donut (best selection in the early part of the day), and the basic coffee was free. No crowds and a beautiful view off the stern for the first cup of the day!

We're headed to Oasis for the first time in Sept, but on our other cruises, DH always asks for coffee from the room service menu. The man is not 100% human until he has his coffee , and he likes to be a real person when we head down for our actual breakfast :D! --Katie

Cafe Promenade provides coffee and various pastries 24 hrs. For am the best places for free coffee is Central Park Cafe, Solarium Cafe and the Windjammer. My favorite was the CP Cafe.

Best "place?" On our balcony from room service. We love sitting on the balcony with coffee and pastries from room service.....then we go find the rest of breakfast! LOL.

I would have to agree! Now please know that I'm only talking about coffee, though - we are used to having coffee immediately when we get up. At home we have the immediate gratification of a Keurig. On a ship, we hang the room service tag on the door every night and order coffee as our wake-up call (you can more or less specify what time you want it delivered.) :o The room service coffee is usually pretty good, though it's just regular coffee and nothing fancy.

Then, after a cup or two on the balcony, we get ourselves ready for the day and go somewhere for breakfast. (The room service full breakfast is generally kind of dreadful. The bacon usually isn't done, toast is cold, and the scrambled eggs are kind of yucky - like powdered eggs or something.)

We haven't tried the pastries, though...that sounds interesting - we could increase our blood sugar as well as our caffeine levels as we enjoy the balcony.:D Are there choices? What have you found to be the best?

IMO and experience, also kind of dreadful. ;) Sorry. Much better in the Café Promenade or WJ and you can choose which ones you want as opposed to settling for what they bring you. :)

Thanks...we'll stick with the coffee from room service and go elsewhere to forage for food!:) We'll be on Allure in August, so there are a bunch of choices for breakfast.
