what is a martini flight?

they make one full sized martini that taste like drinking a snickers bar.

... skip dessert, and have a creamy expresso martini for dessert. OMG! That is just SO good.

Check and check, must try both...

SHHHH, they will want to come to the Martini Bar now, and the seating is so limited!

I'm a bit surprised to hear about space issues - is that for the whole area or just at the bar itself? I don't remember the Millenium martini bar area ever being overcrowded. Is the bar that much smaller on the Solstice class ships? From what I've been reading, seems they'd be wise to extend the Martini bar into the little-used wine bar... before Dec. 1st please... :p

SHHHH, they will want to come to the Martini Bar now, and the seating is so limited! Seriously, my fav bar on the Solstice class.

And yes, the Martini Flight is good - and a great way to try some of the variety of martinis. I'm not a fan of a couple of them, but the rest are great. And tho I don't think I saw it on the flight, they make one full sized martini that taste like drinking a snickers bar. I usually limit myself to 1 martini before dinner but one night had 2 of those. Then I skip dessert, and go have a creamy expresso martini for dessert. OMG! That is just SO good.

Just looked up the first one and they called it an Almond Joy martini. But it will sneak up on you.

That is one I have yet to try........I love the Xpressotini though:D

There is also one that has tequilla in it....and no, it does not taste

like a Margeritia....I am spelling it wrong but it is something

like "Jaquelesitin"i.....it has a raspberry in the bottom of the glass

too...delicious. One of my alltime favorites is a French Martini.

Been drinking that one since my first cruise on Celebrity, 9 years

running;) I have one on the first day...it is like a tradition for me.:)

The bar itself. There's plenty of seating near in the bar. However, the tables near the bar don't have the  antigriddle surface that the bar itself possesses.

Leave the wine bar alone. That's a delicious but, very pricey  experience.

Hi Julie:) the bar itself is not small. It is what is called

"An ISLAND BAR".....seats go all the way around and the bartenders

are in the middle. It can get quite busy though.

When was the last time you were on Millennium? The S class ships

are totally different and now the M class have the same set up.

The wine bar? You mean CRUSH? That is actually in the same

area as the Martini Bar.....CelllarMasters is a Wine Bar...totally different

venue.

Was on millenium about 2 1/2 years ago, before it was Solstized. The circular setup sounds fun, hopefully I'll be able to squeeze in a few times. Otherwise I'll happily order from a waiter.

I meant cellar masters, seems to be empty a lot of the time based on posts here recently.

Do you choose which ones you want, is there a list to choose from? I like girly martinis

First of all, I can't believe you would make such a sexist comment in this liberated and enlightened (politically correct:D) day and age!!! But, alas, I too, prefer "girly" martinis...(not to mention the girls that prefer them)...ANYWAY....

They have a standard mix of six, (GREAT pic by the way, in one of these posts of the tray of six... brings back many fond, and a little cloudy, memories) that include a pear, rasberry, apple, watermellon and classic.... (seems I had too many flights that I can't remember the sixth flavor:o) BUT... they will usually substitute one flavor of your choice for one that you might not enjoy.

Is it usually the same 6 or do they mix it up throughout the cruise? Seems like a wonderful way to try the entire martini menu on the transatlantic.;):p

Not only can you substitute a flavor, they will also pour your "brand of choice" (I am a hard core Stoly fan) At $15.00 for a flight of 6, it is a "premium drink pakage" all on its own, a FANTASTIC alternative to the 44.00 or 54.00 charged for the "real" thing.

I've never heard of a French Martini. I'll think I'll be trying one after looking at the recipe. :D I've been wondering what to make with the Chambord I got.

For a REALLY yummy "low cal" treat, :p just pour a couple of ounces over some vanilla ice cream!

Can't wait for another TA this fall (this time on Connie) to revisit the great flavors, great company, and great fun at the Martini Bar...
