Tampa or Miami ??

We are still newbies on the high seas, and are planning our 2nd cruise. Would like to go somewhere other than the bahamas this time. We are torn between Miami - where most ships leave from - or tampa which has a more limited option but better service from what I have seen posted. Any comments from prior cruisers on the Paradise vs the Imagination? Any info would be greatly appreciated. (we are looking at a 5 day cruise this trip). :)

If you are limiting your self to Carnival, then perhaps "most" ships sail from Miami. But in general more sail from FLL.

I believe the Imagination is normally 3 night and 4 night. We've been on the ship several times. I consider it a great ship for the price. The food, entertainment, and service have been good. The Key West/Cozumel itinerary is nice.

For far better choice I would go with Miami.

 

The cruise ship terminal is great.

I have left from both ports and many others but have never had a better experience than at Tampa. My first time getting off the ship from there we were sitting in the bus to go to airport at 8:15. That's amazing

I am going with Paradise. I like Grand Cayman and Cozumel.
