Transportation back to the airport

After your cruise, do most of you have pre-arranged transportation back to the airport or do you just grab a cab? There will be 5 of us - are there vans as well as taxis available at the port?

And for that matter what airport? ;) In New York there are three (one actually in NJ) and the answer could differ depending on the airport.

 

Regardless, with 5 passengers transportation should be prearranged...that's too many people for most taxis...you'll need a mini van.

If it's Seattle you are talking about, we use Shuttle Express. You can reserve on line and then just check with their agent when you get off the ship. They have a steady stream of shuttle vans running and will get you on one pretty quick.

5 people - two cabs. You might get lucky and get a van.

 

We always (almost) just do cabs BOTH ways. Taking shuttles is a waste of time and money.

We've gotten in the habit of using town car services. Yes, it can be more expensive than a cab, but when we've just spend the time on the cruise decompressing, we like to have that calm and quiet continue as long as we can before returning to every day craziness!

In Seattle, with five people, I would arrange a town car or van.

Whether we use taxi, shuttle, private car, cruise transfer depends on how far the port is from the airport.

 

For 5 people, all with luggage, I'd recommend that you reserve a shuttle of some sort since there might not be enough taxi vans available.

For 5 people I would pre-arrange a car so you know there will be room for all of you and all your bags!

I have used cruise transfers or just hailed a taxi. If our air was booked through the cruise line, transfers are included.
