Alaska here we come

Recommended Posts

We are all packed and ready to leave tomorrow for August 15th cruise. We are doing the Bear Watch tour prior to cruise. Last week I received email from Regent that if I changed my dates to Alaska cruise leaving Vancouver on the 22nd (this cruise is 12 days instead of 7 and disembarks in San Francisco), Regent would upgrade us to a Penthouse suite. We didn't take it. Two days ago I received email that if I cancel my cruise they would refund all the money plus over $2,000 in cash or $3,000 credit for next cruise. Yesterday I received email that if I cancel the cruise I would receive refund plus over $4,000 cash or $5,000 credit. This was very tempting but we are ready to go. It seems the cruise is sold out, however, I don't understand why they are offering such a generous offer.

When Regent overbooks, they start making offers in hopes of getting people to cancel. They keep increasing the offers until enough people cancel to give them space for all booked passengers. The offer you received was excellent!

Have a wonderful cruise and tell us about it when you return.
