littlesteelo Posted August 12, 2012 #27 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Actually when I think about it, there isn't a Hazelnut Souffle with Frangelico sauce on that menu. :( How does the Grand Marnier one compare?
kastke Posted August 12, 2012 #28 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Thank you for posting. I am thrilled the Grand Marnier Souffle is back! I did not see the Vidalia Onion Tart. I am suprised it is off the menu. Hope you enjoyed your cruise! I also am surprised the Vidalia Onion Tart is no longer. Also, I didn't see the Scallop Rissoto on the list anymore. :( We enjoyed both of those. I don't understand the different themes of the day though. Everything on the menu that day is cooked with the themed ingredient??
crusinpeg Posted August 12, 2012 #29 Share Posted August 12, 2012 I have not sailed with RCCL in a while and was waiting to try the famous Vidilia Onion Tart...don'y see it offered on any night anymore?
d4nigirl Posted August 12, 2012 #30 Share Posted August 12, 2012 (edited) Hmmm, snow crab salad. When I first read the speculation of the new menu, I seen crab legs in the thread. Im wondering if this snow crab salad is what was meant to be said? And if so, is it REAL snow crab or just imitation crab meat? I need to book another cruise on Freedom and find out! :p:o Thank you SO much for taking the time to do this :) I was wondering the same thing. I'm sailing Freedom on the 19th (woohoo 1 more week!), an I'll keep you posted. Wondering about the caesar salads offered everyday too. Something so simple, I looked forward to it when I wasn't in the mood for what was offered that night on the appetizer list. Thanks for posting! Clarea Posted August 12, 2012 #32 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Was there lobster tails? That's the entree called Fisherman's Plate on Thursday.
macruisefan Posted August 12, 2012 #33 Share Posted August 12, 2012 I don't understand the different themes of the day though. Everything on the menu that day is cooked with the themed ingredient?? Don't take things so literally. I'm sure the themed ingredient wasn't in every dish, that doesn't even make sense. In taking even a brief look at the menu it is clear that these are carefully arranged selections, as any dining experience should be. Selected and paired to make sure they complement each other well. The "themed ingredient", I imagine, is present in some dishes when appropriate. But more than that, the "themed ingredient" speaks to the type and style of foods being presented on that particular day. Personally, I think it's a very clever way of doing it! beej Posted August 12, 2012 #34 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Clamett, thank you so much for the menus. They sound yummy, except for the fish that i don't eat. Rack of Lamb, ohhhhh, I can't wait 112 days more. Huge thanx
artypharty Posted August 12, 2012 #35 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Thank you so much for taking the time to do this! We have just over two months before we leave, plenty of time to pour over the menu's! :)
eel Posted August 12, 2012 #36 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Thanks so much for posting the menus! I took the liberty of formatting all the menus in a table available here -> https://www.dropbox.com/s/idx7jb0iajr6clu/New%20RCI%20Menus.pdf I am also very curious about the items offered everyday. If I get a list I will add it to my table!

TBR Posted August 12, 2012 #38 Share Posted August 12, 2012 I saw on another thread that esgargot was available every night,do you happen to know if that is true? What were the always available options?
reallyitsmema Posted August 12, 2012 #39 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Thanks for taking the time to type these out. Is there also an everyday menu like they have had in the past? There was usually an herbed chicken, plain pasta, caesar salad, and a steak. I hope they have something like that still because I see multiple nights that there is only one entree that either my son or husband will eat. smoosh21 Posted August 12, 2012 #43 Share Posted August 12, 2012 The hotel director said the new menus will come out very soon on Oasis and Allure. Not sure of the order on the other ships. hopefully that means by thanksgiving :o
erin_cruisers Posted August 12, 2012 #44 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Thanks for taking the time to post the new items. I'm REALLY liking Thursday night. :D Q ~ Can you tell us if Escargot was available again? (it's a favorite. I think I could have escargot and a Caesar salad every night) :p
garyb(uk) Posted August 12, 2012 #45 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Thank you for this, we have all been waiting excitedly for someone to post. I don't cruise till next May so am hoping for the new Menu's on the Adventure. snap - my only question as a first time cruiser - is it actually an improvement on the existing menu (as was suggested) or simply a new menu? smoosh21 Posted August 12, 2012 #46 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Thanks for the advance notice of what I will soon be tasting:p. Some of my favs are missing:(...and some have returned (Grand Marnier Souffle). Dont forget, this is only 7 menus. I am sure that there are at least 21, probably 28 different menus that were created. It is very possible your sailing will have that Grand Marnier souffle
Rare nbsjcruiser Posted August 12, 2012 #47 Share Posted August 12, 2012 I like the look of those menus. OP, did you happen to try the warm chocolate cake? I'm wondering if its like Carnival's warm chocolate melting cake or is it like the flourless chocolate cake RCI offers.
LovesCruising Posted August 12, 2012 #48 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Some really great choices here - thanks for sharing - I myself would have a tough time choosing most nights.
QTMichele Posted August 12, 2012 #49 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Thanks for posting!!!! I haven't checked the "schedule" for adding the new menus to other ships, but I'm wondering if Liberty is included by my November sailing.
