Does anybody know the best way to rent a car in Cape Canaveral?

When I've been in that area, I've rented from Avis. They have a location there in Cape Canaveral*. Usually, I'm either renting one-way from/to Orlando International Airport, but I do have a one-day rental set up between our next two cruises.

 

There are several car rental companies in Cape Canaveral, but I don't know which ones have shuttle services to the port. Port Canaveral has been making it more difficult for local operators (mostly off-site parking sites) to gain access to the port by eliminating permits and raising trip fees.

 

* The Cape Canaveral location is at 6650 North Atlantic Avenue and has Avis location code Y6C.

are 10 hours enough to just walk around theme parks from Cape Canaveral; not planning to actually go into any since I heard the line ups are crazy long so I just want to take some pictures and get back....and not thinking to rent a car...is there any other way to get there ?

Yes I am.....first cruise...

what are you planning to do at port canaveral if you don't mind me asking ....i am really hoping to just walk around universal studio and take some pictures...

do you think universal or Disney will be very crowded on that day? Will be onboard with my parents. Think we will rent a car and may be go to the beach. JFK Space Center will close at 5 right?
