EBM Posted August 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2012 I am going on the Freedom this weekend, and after the past couple of weeks, I think I need a massage. Do you they generally have specials throughout the week? If so, when do they start? Are the specials generally for port days only?
cb at sea Posted August 29, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2012 There will be unadvertised "port day" specials....so if you don't need to rush off the ship (or stay off all day) you might get a better deal then. On sea days, don't expect ANY discounts!
PIGSKIN Posted August 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2012 I am going on the Freedom this weekend, and after the past couple of weeks, I think I need a massage. Do you they generally have specials throughout the week? If so, when do they start? Are the specials generally for port days only? On the allure I have seen a ladies day special for 119 dollars. It was for a port day. I plan on booking it the day I board in December. The best that I can remember it had a back massage, scalp message, mini facial and a couple other things. As soon as you board - just go to the spa and ask to sea their port day specials--they also have a special for men.
Gonzo70 Posted August 29, 2012 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2012 On every cruise I have been on, by the third day the spa starts advertising specials in the daily paper delivered to your stateroom. They tend to have highly inflated prices and then offer all sorts of "specials" to book the large number of open slots. On some cruises these specials have been as much as half off (and this is sea days too, not just port days).

On sea days, don't expect ANY discounts! I will add, while there frequently are specials, they won't admit it when you tour the spa the first day. Keep an eye on the compass and CD's morning show and watch for signs.
Daghis Posted August 29, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 29, 2012 If you'd like to see the kinds of specials they advertise, I've uploaded the week's Cruise Specials (50 MB PDF) from my cruise on the Freedom of the Seas back in March.
