Anyone visit the Queen Mary at Long Beach?

Recommended Posts

Queen Mary was a lot of fun the last time I took a tour, although that was back when it was next to the Spruce Goose. IIRC around Halloween they do a ghost tour of the Queen Mary, and I've always wanted to take that tour. If you're really feeling like you want the full Queen Mary experience, they used to have the ghost tours at night when it was really dark, and I can only imagine what will go bump in the night aboard that ship.

I am thinking about doing this after we disembark, since our flight isn't until late afternoon. Do they have a place to store luggage? Is the self guided tour the better experience?

I was considering the Queen Mary for the pre-cruise stay, but saw too many negative reviews on trip advisor. I'd love to see the ship though, and we could have lunch before we left for the airport. One more question - how much to budget for an average lunch in the dining room - without wine?
