Trans-Atlantic weather in November?

We are first-time cruisers, taking the Celebrity Eclipse from Southhampton to Ft. Lauderdale Oct 27 - Nov 9. I've always mentally associated cruises with summer beach weather, even though I know that's not the case. What type of weather should I expect? With outdoor pools and a stateroom balcony, will it be warm enough to enjoy them, or should I expect cool winds, bundling up, and indoor pool only?

As many people will tell you, it is almost impossible to predict the weather in the North Atlantic this far out for your cruise. However, historical weather data from the last 2 years would suggest that ,during the first 10 days of your cruise, the temperature would be 60 -680F (15-180C) during the day and 50 -580F (10-140C) at night. As you get closer to the southern US/Florida, the temp should increase to 72 -780F (20-250C) during the day and 60 -680F (15-180C) at night. Hope this helps.

You will be starting in Northerly area. To me , TAs are one of least important itins. for a balcony. Nothing to see on the sea. When in port you will be on shore. But the glass domed adult Solarium pool is one of the most pleasant spots at sea.Enjoy.

It might be a tad cool early and then warmer as you head southwest. Seas could be anything, you are late in the hurricane season so odds are that won't be a problem.
