Pearl Harbor Post Cruise NCL or Roberts?

We are staying 3 extra days in Honolulu after the NCL cruise. Would like to visit Pearl Harbor. Should we take the free NCL shuttle to our Waikiki hotel on the last day and then visit Pearl Harbor with Roberts during our extra 3 days? Or should we use NCL's Pearl Harbor tour on the last day and work out our own transport to our hotel after the tour? I understand NCL tour will drop people at some of the Waikiki hotels after Pearl Harbor tours--but they don't say which ones? Any advice?

If you read down the board, you will see the Honolulu area is very easy to use on public transit, taxis, and possibly on tours. There are so many options. Can't really say one is "best". Even if you do the NCL tour, Waikiki is a very compact place- if they don't drop you at your hotel, chances are it will be a short walk, if you can do that dragging your bags.

Personally, I would do my own tour of Pearl. So many things to see that may or may not be on the NCL tour.

Lots of info, just takes some reading and planning.
