I did not try from the ship, but found plenty of places for cheap or free access in ports. In the Cartegena port, 1 hour access was $3.00. That was the most expensive. Other ports had 1 hour access for $1.00, and I found free access at others in restaurants. There is really no need to pay the ship's extravagant prices if you only want to check in with family every few days.

Thank you! I was wondering if it might be possible to get a screen grab of the Panama Canal web cam of our ship IN the Canal. (I doubt that anyone at home will be up!)

Now ....since it seems possible, to figure out the actual "how to"!

I don't believe you will be able to pick up any (free) wi-fi while you are in the locks or the Canal.

You won't pick up free wifi and even the ships wifi will be very slow due to interference from the canal.

We'll need to rely on someone from home, then, for that hoped for screen grab!
