Boo2 Posted December 21, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2012 We're leaving at 8:30 pm on the Summit on Saturday; what's a good time to board? This is the first time we've been on a cruise that leaves in the evening; we usually board around noon for a cruise that leaves around 4:30 or 5. Can you still board at noon for a cruise that leaves in the evening? Thanks!

Jenna109 Posted December 21, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 21, 2012 You will have no problem boarding around noon. However, perhaps someone can help me regarding safety drills. Next year we have a midnight departure from Hawaii BUT can we really spend the full day ashore? Safety drills are usually about five and they are now very strict about everyone attending. On our last few cruises they even checked that every name is ticked before beginning.

judatt Posted December 21, 2012 #8 Share Posted December 21, 2012 We sailed on the Summit 12/8. Left the hotel (Hilton Caribe) at 11 AM and arrived at the port about 11:10. Dropped bags and went to check in - no line for suite check in at that point. Walked down to guy scheduling for specialty dining - by the time we made a reservation and I visited the men's room, they announced we could board about 11:30. Went straight to Bistro on 5 and were eating salad by 11:40.

Chigirlcruzin Posted December 21, 2012 #12 Share Posted December 21, 2012 I don't recall the exact time (it may have been 7:45) but I do remember we had 8:30 reservations at Qsine. We dressed for dinner, went to muster, had a drink at the martini bar, and then went up to Qsine.
