I stole this from the Royal Caribbean thread. Thought it would be fun for the Princess lovers.

 

I was recently on the Caribbean Princess April 9th sailing to Eastern Caribbean and here is my top 5 and bottom 5 things I liked.

 

Top 5

 

1. Aft Balcony - They are awesome.

2. Personal Choice Dining - Meeting Different People everynight

3. Snorkeling in Trunk Bay - Beautiful

4. Trivia Contests - So much fun - Won three prizes

5 Comedian shows - hilarious

 

Bottom 5

 

1. Losing money in the casino

2. Sat in the back at MUTS and couldn't hear the words

3. The bar hop program was only a visor should be a t-shirt with all bars

listed.

4. Cruise was only seven days instead of seventy

5. Disembarkation

Nice!!

 

Top 5:

1. My travelmates :)

2. Caribe Deck Balcony!

3. All the food!

4. Seeing multiple places without unpacking!

5. Sun and sea air!

 

Bottom 5:

1. I couldn't bring more friends/family with me.

2. No pets :( (I know this is unrealistic but I miss my dog!)

3. Not enough hours in a day to do everything.

4. Only a handful of time in Princess Cays.

5. Knowing that I had to go back to work.

*balcony stateroom

*anytime dining - romantic table for two at our convenience

*meeting people from CC roll call

*Princess Cays

*celebrating my birthday (54) on the second formal night

 

Bottom 5

*really rough seas on last night of cruise

*baggage nightmare in terminal at disembarkation

*smokers on adjacent balconies

*not getting in to see either production show

*SRO for Bert Stratton

What a fantastic Cruise to Alaska on the Diamond on May 14th. If you've never been to Alaska you need to go:

 

BEST:

1) Aft Balcony cabin

2) All the different people

3) Fantastic food

4) Alaska was awesome

5) CASINO??

 

Worst:

1) CASINO??

2) Late to Victoria

3) Days to short

4) Going back to work

5) Disembarkation ( needs some work)

  1. The SMELL of the ocean
  2. A balcony
  3. Falling asleep to the SOUND of the ocean
  4. Waking up in different parts of the world
  5. The FOOD!!!

WORST:

  1. Packing/unpacking
  2. Spending so much money
  3. The final night of the cruise (knowing its just about over)
  4. Chair hogs
  5. People who complain

1. Looking for a pool chair

2. Deciding which photos to buy

4. Putting suitcases in the hallway

5. Waiting for our color to be called!

2. The sounds and smell of the sea

3. Elegant dinners in the dining room

4. Fun with great family and friends

4. Mini suites

 

 

Worst 5

1. Packing...both at the beginning and end of the cruise. I hate it!

2. Airline flights

3. Moaners

4. Coach transfers....don't do them anymore!

5. Disembarkation

1. visiting ports

2. afternoon tea

3. being served all my meals

4. dressing up for formal nights

5. laying out by the pool soaking up the sun!

 

Top 5 Dislikes:

 

1. chair hogs

2. smokey casino

3. price of formal photos

4. disembarkation

5. not being able to cruise more often

 

It was hard to come up with 5 dislikes!!!

1. PARENTS THAT LET THEIR KIDS RUN WILD!

2. Smokers on adjacent balconies (I know, they can do that..I'm just not a smoker)

3. People that whine about EVERYTHING.

4. Losing in the Casino

5. Getting off the ship.

Top 5:

1) Sitting on the balcony listening to the Ocean and amazed at how beautiful

and calming it is!

2) Spending time alone on the balcony with DH admiring the view &

enjoying a cocktail!

3) Seeing new sites & enjoying old ones once again.

4) Meeting new people, especially those from CC.

5) Not having to cook, make bed, vacuum, or clean every day!!!!!

 

 

Worst 5:

 

1) Rude & inconsiderate cruisers who hog pool chairs, talk loudly in the hall

late at night, & cut in lines.

2) Waiting patiently for the elevators only to have people who just walked

up cut us off and take the last spot in the elevator

3) Packing the last night & the sinking feeling that the cruise is just about

over.

4) Rough seas

5) Getting off the ship and back to reality.

1. In the Caribbean, sleeping with an open balcony door

2. Traditional dining: meeting and getting to know other passengers

3. Sea days! The more the merrier!

4. Ships with aft decks that everyone can enjoy

5. A tie: lunchtime personally-prepared pasta or breakfast eggs made just the way you want them

 

Bottom 5

 

1. Rude people, kids screaming or running amuk

2. Chair hogs

3. Princess Cays -- have a sea day instead

4. Big, football field length ships

5. Disembarkation

  • Rough seas
  • Formal evenings with everyone looking great
  • Disembarking knowing that my next cruise is booked
  • Traditional Dining with a dedicated wait staff, tableside food and dessert preparation and new friends to get to know over the course of the cruise around the table
  • Being able to totally relax away from cell phones, TVs, CD players and computers

Bottom:

 

  • Ships that carry more than 2000 people
  • The thought that a TV – no matter how large – would enhance the cruise experience
  • The lack of manners some show when it comes to respecting fellow passengers
  • Negative comments about hard-working staff members
  • Having to stop in ports

fresh water pools

watching the wake anytime but especially at night

walking the promenade holding dh hand before bedtime

whole money issue with nevr having to worry about money.....till last day

dressing up

 

top five bad:

 

people who change into very casual clothes in evening....years ago you were not permitted to wear shorts after 6pm so people kept the dress clothes on...

packing

complainers

rough seas

mediocre entertainment

The beautiful wake at the back of the ship.

Live music.

Food, food and more food.

Ports - seeing the world. (We're not in Kansas anymore!!!)

Sharing everything with DH!

 

Bottom :eek:

 

Complainers.

Obnoxious adults.

Negative comments on ship's crew.

Packing to go home.

Long flights home. :(

great itinerary- good excursions

music- especially reggae band & piano

staff & crew friendly & helpful

people trying to overcrowd elevators!

deck chair reserving habits- erg

cruise crabbies-

photo shoots overdone & overdone again!

1. reading on my balcony

2. relaxing by the Terrace Pool

3. watching the stars at night

4. lunching in Horizon Court while watching the ocean - beautiful

5. trying different foods

 

5 worst things

1. getting off the ship

4. missing a few evening shows because I'm too exhausted from all the fun I had

5. getting off the ship

and I'd like to mention a 6th one......getting off the ship!

4.) Scuba Diving, sailing and caribbean beaches

5 worst experiences

1.) Debarkation

2.) Gaining 5 pounds(I could have controlled this but say no to ice cream, pizza, cafe caribe fried shrimp, fish...!

3.) Smoking inside the ship(specifically the casino and elevator area)

4.) Coffee in cafe caribe/horizon court

5.) Pulling into Port Everglades(couldn't the captain have made a right when he shoulda made a left?)

1. Embarkation, for the anticipation of an adventure about to begin

2. The smell of the ocean from our balcony

3. The beauty of the night sky while at sea (great job on that one, God ! )

4. Formal nights....yeah, I'm a guy, but my job doesn't require a suit and tie, and I kinda enjoy that tux (besides, it makes DW happy)

5. New friends, new places, and re-connecting with my most important friend

 

and at the Bottom:

 

1. Chair hogs, and they're on every single cruise line

2. People who can't follow simple instructions, and make a comedy out of the muster drill (God forbid something necessitating one happens, for they are the ones who'll be trampling people)

3. That last night- too damn depressing

4. Packing on that last night

5. The chaos that abounds during debarkation (and why is my luggage never all in the correct color area ???)
