MIA to Cruise Pier Taxi - Five of Us

There will be five of us plus luggage from MIA to the pier in Miami. Will a taxi be able to take the five of us? Do they have taxi/vans at the airport? Do you know what the fare would be for five of us? Also, will it be possible to get a taxi/van from the pier to MIA?

 

Any info would be most helpful.

taxi port to/from airport is flat rate per vehicle $24 last time I checked (plus tip)

 

'vans' are available but think mini-van so depending on your luggage quantity and people size, you may just need to bite the bullet and take 2 taxi - splitting up. This will still be less than any per person shuttle.

 

Just get in the regular taxi line and when you get to the dispatcher tell them you need a van .... you may need to wait a few minutes

If any in your group pack like my spouse and daughters :o the CAPT is correct -- you'll need two cabs at $24+tip each. If you pack light the 5 of you plus bags could squeeze into a van-taxi or SUV cab.

 

The ride takes about 15 minutes - - good luck! :)

As mentioned, you'll either use one taxi van or two taxis with a flat fee for each one.

Hi: Original Poster here. I guess that the taxi/van would be the same cost as a regular taxi? And I assume that there would be taxi/vans at the port to take us back to MIA?

Yes on cost. There are naturally more sedan cabs, so you might have to wait a bit longer for the suv at the pier.

Cost the same but less vans then regular taxis.
