Is there a way to find where celebrity ships dock in South American cities and colon, panama? I am interested in order to figure out distances to center of each city or town. Also my booking confirmation does not show tendering ports...where can I find that info. Thanks!

Can you tell us which other ports you're calling at besides Colon? South America is a pretty large continent!

Your cruise sounds great - a really nice selection of ports! I know for sure that docking facilities are available at these ports: Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Ushuaia, Punta Arenas, Puerto Montt and Valparaiso. (Some of the others probably are as well, but I'll leave that for more knowledgeable posters!) Now, your ship may not be guaranteed to dock at each of these places, depending on how many other ships are in port, and the size of your ship. At some point, Celebrity should make available a more detailed itinerary, which should indicate which ports are tender ports and which are docked.

Enjoy your cruise!

Salmac,

It would be very beneficial if you would post, or copy a link to sddsddean's informative list on both the March 3 and March 17 threads.

I thought of that but I don't know how!

Don't worry I've done it for you.:D

Wow! Thanks...this is great info! Appreciate the time it took for all the links!

Muchisimas gracias, Simon.

This is great info for those of us going in March 2014 as well. Things may change a bit by then, but probably not and any info helps.

You're welcome. Have a great trip...we did!:D

I can tell you about other ports, since I have done two cruises to South America.

For Colon, there is a dock in the city of Colon. However, frankly, you don't want to go into Colon. It is a rat hole. I wouldn't go there unless I was with security.

If you are going to Colon, take an excursion that leaves Colon and visits the Gatun locks or the train that goes to Panama City. Forget Colon.

Here are my two reviews, detailing the cruises
