I had to fly into New York last night for a meeting this morning. All the local suburbanites were heading out of the city early because the afternoon commuter trains have been cancelled. For me, I just re-booked at the same hotel tonight. Hopefully, I'll get a flight back to Canada on Saturday.

Big hardship eh. My DW an DS have been out shoveling the driveway 3 times already today.

And I'm here in my hotel room posting on CC!!!

I'm from Maine also, a pot of chilli on the stove, well stocked with beer, and the woodstove going. Good night to invite the neighbors over. Having snow like this is why we like to cruise.

Grew up there. I miss the woodstoves. As much as I enjoy Florida's winters, I miss coming in from the cold to a warm house.

Snow has blocked my back door, yep right up to the window! But parts of the driveway are clear because of the wind. I have 4 foot drifts around the house and nothing on the cars! Watching the snow blow horizontally. Oh to be cruising right now!

Of course it is a bonus day off for me. The casino is not even going to try and open until after 5pm. Just when my shift would be ending. Irish coffee, warm fire, CC to read.....NOPE, I STILL WANT A CRUISE!

Here in Manchester Ct we had 32 inches of snow!!!!!!. My street has not been plowed yet some of my neighbors cleared their sidewalks. When the city clears the road and pushes the snow over the cleared sidewalks are they going to be ticked.

Shrewsbury, MA got 27". We are finally all clear. Plows did the street and I don't even bother with the sidewalk. We are supposed to clear it but the plow put 5 feet of heavy stuff on them so nothing really can be done.

I'm hoping Logan gets back on track quickly for anyone trying to get out on a cruise. Last I heard the won't start departures till 11 PM but I would think they could start earlier as the snow is stopped now.

I know Cedar, runs off of Main St, right? Casino is on Main across from the soon to be torn down auditorium. :( and yes, still snowing.

Many high school memories with the auditorium:) I saw the casino in it's beginning stages when the old one was at the old Millers location. There's no relatives left there to visit, but would like someday to revisit some of my old stomping grounds.

That was the worst heaviest one fall snow I've ever dealt with. I did a quick plow before bed last night just before the power went out and started digging again at 7 am. We just finished and I have a nice snow blower. I would be POed if my cruise was this weekend as we didn't buy insurance. Fortunately ours is next week. After this I will now carry cruise insurance.

Orono Maine checking in - Good to see Bangor neighbors on board. Plows just came by our street so I'll go clean that out of the way soon. I wish it would stop snowing and if the wind were to stop no problem with me. Clearing the driveway earlier was fun with the wind blowing every direction, but mostly into my face. To think yesterday I had flowers breaking through and now they are under two feet of snow:(
