kirasmom Posted February 12, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2013 I'm new to RCI, looking to take the 10 day eastern caribbean out of Baltimore in Jan 2014. Anyway looking into the Jr. Suite, what is the advantage of booking the suite other than the obvious increase in SF? TIA

henchgt Posted February 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2013 Not much as stated by JBert. Walk-in closet and larger balcony are nice though!

Merion_Mom Posted February 12, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2013 On the Grandeur, the Grand Suites are actually a VERY nice, big size. The Junior Suites are not so large. More like a really big balcony cabin. And without a walk-in closet, all you have are a slightly larger balcony and a bathroom with a tub. (which I really like, since otherwise you have the "overly friendly" shower curtain. But the double C&A points are nice. 10 nights will get you 20 points. On Vision class, I like the JS because they usually are not much more expensive than the balcony cabins, but are a lot better.
critterchick Posted February 12, 2013 #7 Share Posted February 12, 2013 You also get a coffeemaker and hot water kettle, at least you're supposed to. On Brilliance and Jewel, we just had the hot water kettle. We didn't want a coffeemaker so didn't press the issue.

Not for a Junior Suite. Most of the Vision class ships have been updated to include the Concierge Lounge. The only Vision class ship without a Concierge Lounge is Vision of the Seas. This ship is scheduled to be updated this fall.
melbur Posted March 21, 2013 #10 Share Posted March 21, 2013 I don't believe the reserved pool seating is available on Vision class either.

cb at sea Posted March 21, 2013 #12 Share Posted March 21, 2013 I think SF means "square footage"...not service fee!

AAA75 Posted March 21, 2013 #14 Share Posted March 21, 2013 Accessible Junior Suite are wider. We got one and liked it. Of course once you try RCI you may not go back :D. Some Staterooms cost only $100 less for a JS, so you will have to research a lot. JS's have 245 sq. ft and 62 sq ft balcony while Superior Oceanview Staterooms have 191 sq ft and 39 sq ft balcony. It is over 50 sq ft more room.
