Grand Turk with a 4 & 8 year old

IMO not really, outside of making it a beach day. Avoid the rowdies at Buffetberg and go right off the the pier toward the excursion boat pier, loungers and shallow water. I'm sure the guys running the tram tour are very informative. They leave from Local Village, which is to the left on the other side of MV. But there's not a lot on the island to keep the attention of a 4 year old or an 8 year old as they speak alot about the history which would be over the younger ones' heads.

My 7 yr old nephew and 9 year old son did the flowrider at Margaritaville and loved it. It was the highlight of their cruise (for them). It was $29 or $39 and they spent about an hour and a half on it. They started them on their bellies, then their knees, then eventually let them try standing. They also loved the beach. Beautiful water and the ocean floor was clear (no seaweed or sea grass). Also if you walk to the right when you get to the end of the pier you can take them to an area known as the conch graveyard where they can pick out a conch shell and bring it back with them as a souvenier.

Any ideas for something fun to do with a 4 and 8 year old. The tram tour looks good but does anyone else have any ideas?

The Flowrider is awesome for kids...there is also the tube rides that carry kids in side as opposed to the banana boat rides...they can go treasure hunting on the conch graveyard...snorkelling.....the pool at White Sands Beach next to Margaritaville is a great hang out place for kids also...

You could also rent a golf cart for the day to take you riding around the island as well as the beach and the flo rider. We live on 50 acres and have a golf cart. When our Grand kids were little they loved riding the golf cart-not so much for the sights but the ride. We have rented a cart for our trip in June and our Grandsons ages 14 and 17 are still looking forward to a golf cart ride--although if they rented 4 wheelers they could drive I bet they would be even more excited. Country boys and their toys!

I agree with all of this. Loved the kids pool at Margaritaville and the beautiful beach right there. Snacks and drinks at Margaritaville great for kids and adults or walk down the beach and try some local food. Flowrider fun to watch or to try. We had a fab day just staying right there with our kids.
