And you were the person who put me onto the obc purchase a while ago so thanks for that too!

Here's a direct link to the page with the price.

Yes, you can add 9 to your basket and then do more multiples of 9 with no daily limit. You can also send yourself a gift message on each of them not to spend it all at once. LOL

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the heads up, iv just ordered a little extra for our transatlantic in April,

Every little helps I guess!

LOL! I was a bit unsure what message to send myself! :D

Ha ha :D

I always get stumped at that point.

We noticed the good exchange rate at the weekend so purchased 2 blocks of 9.

I just wrote 'Enjoy' on both lots.

Your onboard account is in $'s, you will be credited in dollars

It is important to buy Shipboard credit ie Product C171

which is a $25 unit. Other Onboard credits have to be spent on that particular feature ie Bar, Spa etc.

We have used pre purchasing of shipboard credit successfully for a few years now. Also, prepurchased bottles of wine for delivery to stateroom/dining room athough it has always turned up in the stateroom !!

Hi

How do you know each unit is 25$? Can't see any value on the web site or the invoice

They are $25 units as this is all that Celebrity sell, but it isn't clear from the information on the site. From memory when you go to purchase it does finally say they are $25 single units. All you will get by way of confirmation is an email saying you have bought a gift. What I have done in the past is before closing the page on the Celebrity website that summarises the purchase I print that screen and take the list with me in case of query. I will say that I have never had an issue and the obcs have always been there.

I decided this was such a good deal I had to order some more, so I've just ordered another 9. I think it makes more sense to pay now while the rate is good rather than settle the account onboard when the rate may not be so good.

Thanks for the tip!

With the recent decline in the value of the pound against the dollar, just thought some may be interested to know that the current price on the Celebrity website for $25 of obc is £15.40 which equates to a rate of over 1.62. Compared with the current rate of under 1.50 it represents a very good deal. I'm not sure how long this price will last so for those from the UK on upcoming cruises you might like to buy some now.

Phil

thanks for the tip phil.

just booked mine.

Phil - on a similar theme - do you know how much credit you get if you purchase spa vouchers? They are priced at £61.60 but it does not say how much they are worth in dollars - any idea or know how I can find out?

Thanks

That makes 4 of us!

What does everyone else write?

Adele :)

There's a lesson to be learned here!

Last year when on Equinox, we took advantage of this and when the room steward turned up with the pieces of paper to sign to confirm the OBC, he read out the message that was written on the message each time! I had put some really daft and silly messages on them and was rather embarrased by the time he left the room :o

Lets just say that "Enjoy" features on all 5 of mine for next week!

The spa credits are $100 each. The casino credits are $26.25 (that includes the 5% fee) and the Specialty Restaurant credit is $40.

This sounds like a good idea and I am tempted to do $900 worth to cover our drinks package ( No 123 Go) on our 14 day Eclipse cruise in September. However if disaster were to 'strike' and we had to cancel our cruise for some reason how would I reclaim the OBC once it has been charged to my credit card ?.
